Dad made mum homeless

So my mum has a contract with virgin my dad unfortunately is the tenant holder and 3 weeks ago he decided to make her homeless she is currently living between myself and my brothers house so can't transfer it over 😢 

Please can you advise this is a huge and traumatic time for my mum(they have been together 41 years ! and she doesn't seem to be getting any support from customer services just that to cancel she will have to pay £700

Surely there has to be something she is effectively homeless and it's came as a complete shock for all of us
