Contract renewal

My contract will end on the 6th of Jan. 2025. I rang the customer care team to discuss new contract which was eventually sent to me via email to look at. However, the date on the contract shows that it’s starting today. I have not signed the contract yet though. I’m worried that I might end up paying for two contracts at the same time for same purpose and with same company. Also, if the new contract starts now before the old one ends, will Virgin media claim that I’m owing them since I didn’t wait till the end of my contract to renew ??? I’m confused.

  • Hi Chinaza

Thanks for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry for any confusion regarding your contract. Don't worry, agreement to a contract would override any current contracts with the same services and your current package price would change to the new agreed price 😊

If you have any further questions, please just let us know. We'll be happy to help.

      Thanks Beth for your response.

can I request for the new contract to start on a later  date rather than now?

Hi Chinaza thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, there is a timescale that the pre-contract needs to be agreed on (usually it would say on this).

Once this expires, any offer you may have agreed will expire with it and there's no guarantee we'll be able to get this back for you, it is just purely what's available.

Please let us know if you need any further help.
