Contract renewal

Hi. After just over a year with Virgin, my contract is up in March next year. I was sent an offer yesterday via email, which I clicked on to view options. It wasn't massively clear, so went onto page 2 of 3. Looked at the offer and then just closed the page (as not anything I would take up). I then had Pre-contract documents sent through to me, even though I didn't click to accept or go through to page 3, which was the check-out/accept option. 

I called customer services straight away (if you can call it that with Virgin). Person confirmed no order had gone through and nothing showing online (but want to make sure that is the case, as it could take time to show?). This definitely seemed like a bit of a scam from Virgin, and wonder if anyone else has had this?

Secondly just on renewal generally. I currently have TNT Sports. It is showing as a paid option next time, so assume if I did look at renewing in the future, you now have to pay for this? Likely I will just go to Sky Stream and get internet through You Fibre now in my area.
