Contract Renewal Offer

Hi there, been a quick almost two years and now I'm at that point of looking to save money. Account runs out in October, I noticed I've received a renewal offer in my app billing section and it's not very appealing. Its £2 more than I'm paying just now, £30 more than a new customer offer, and £20 more than two other providers I could cancel and move to. Are there any VM ops who are in the forum able to discuss offers, or point me in the direction of UK Comms who could discuss. I really can't be bothered with the overseas call centre shenanigans if I can help it just now. I'm not going to renew at this price point unfortunately and I've no problem cancelling and moving.

  • Hi..from what I can see and learn from VM customers ..most of us will consider our little lot and it is an obvious personal decision to stay or go..best to ring retentions and see whats on offer so its the 150 or 0345 4541111 call ..early after 0800 hrs on the morning..do some research first see whats on offer from other ISP,s ... pity most do this dance with VM at end of contract time.. good luck anyway.

  • So the upshot for anyone following this is, after going through a few private messages with a mod, who was very courteous btw, the renewal offer remains the same as the one I already received through the app. £2 more than I'm paying just now. As Alby41 says, "pity most do this dance with VM at end of contract time". I've always done this with my broadband, and my mobile contracts as well. We get hit with these price increases across the board for no apparent reason and this is our only chance to say nope I'm not having it, especially when you see competitor and new customer prices.
