Contract Renewal Offer Jumped

Hi,

I had a renewal offer for my contract, but this has now increased by £18 in the last week.

I wanted to renew at the renewal offer price I saw a week ago, but this seems to have changed hugely since?

The messaging is also very unclear as it's stating I am paying a price that is price after the contact ends. (which is why I assume the renewal has changed)

If I can't get the original renewal, then the cost is not worth it anymore.

Forget it. Unlikely you will get the original offer, or better, without actually cancelling services. These days, it's a gamble whether they can be bothered to contact you with a final offer.

Sometimes it is 24 hours before services terminating and most people would have set up an alternative ISP by then.

You can try ringing in, but be prepared for either more expensive than your current amount, or £5 off.

VM tried ringing my other half during cancellation as recent as past 2 weeks,  a couple of times, but couldn't take the call as at work and in meetings. No SMS was sent or email offer, but it was VM's loss as we are really happy with the new ISP on full fibre there and will now never return to VM again at their address. No in contract price rises, and re-contracting customers get new customer deals with new ISP. VM could have competed. but the latency is so good on new provider we are happy.

    Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of your concerns regarding a renewal offer.

Was this offer through your My Virgin Media online account? Our deals do change often, so it may be that the offer is no longer available.

Have you spoken with the customer service team to see if they're able to find you a suitable renewal deal? You can speak with them by calling 150 (free of charge) from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, or from any methods listed here
