Contract renewal issues

I contacted VM yesterday re renewing my contract. After speaking with two reps I accepted an offer. I received summary documents confirming this within minutes, so far so, so good. A few hours later a contract document arrived but it has a completely different set of charges for more than £9 a month more than I agreed. Annoyingly its not possible to contact anyone online re this. I am very angry to say the least. I now want to reject this new contract and look to engaging with a new provider. anyone else had a similar miserable experience to this?

I had the same problem, It took me 3 Hrs on and off the phone to get it sorted out as VM kept loosing connection to the own phone service at THERE end resulting in them calling me back on VM land line and my mobile phone.

I could not download the emailed new contract PDF attachment to their emails for a while and could not connect to my account on line as VM sever reported a PROBLEM for hours. After accepting the new contract and price increase charges and the price changes until the the changes settle down in a couple of months, I received another email hrs later with different charges while the new price settles down in 2 months. VM have changed the early contract opt out to FULL payment of remaining contract not the £250 ish payment the used to have, God knows what will happen if you move house and VM is not available.

Talking to VM india was a nightmare for the first 2 Hrs but when I got to VM UK it was sorted out without any problems apart from them loosing contact to their own phone connection.

    VM India 1/10

    VM UK 9/10

Thanks for sharing, based on your experience I am expecting this will take an effort to sort out.  I am now inclined to give up and  reject a renewal and engage with an alternative and go through the inconvenience of a new installation. Although I accepted an improved VM offer it still did not match what is available elsewhere for less monthly charges.

  • Hello davjar.

Thanks for your post and welcome back to our community.
Sorry to hear you're having an issue with the mismatch charges on your contract

As we tend not to deal with contracts, package changes on our community, it does appear that you've already tried to resolve this so I'd like to help.
If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.

I spoke too soon, the initial summary documents looked in order, I accepted them and then again a couple of hours later a new contract arrived this time with a £30 increase over what I had agreed to in the summary document. I really am losing my patience with this situation and close to giving up on VM. This is turning into a saga

Don't forget your 14 days limit to cancel. Once that has passed you are trapped for 18 months.

Thanks for your reply, good point, I intend to make sure that does not happen. According to my account page my contract has been renewed, its shows the wrong service, for a start and when I click on the tab for more details it tells me that part of the site is down so I can even see what charges have been applied although I expect they are the overpriced level i got in the emailed contract. really losing patience with this
