Being Fobbed Off

So I signed up using my friends referral code.

When I clicked the link it clearly stated that we should both receive a £60 payment.

When I signed up virgin sent me an email which stated £50. I flagged this up straight away with Virgin who told me I need to speak to aklamio.

I took a screen shot from my friends link that clearly shows it's a £60 payment and I have sent this in an email explaining to aklamio the situation who have come back to me saying 

'Regarding the reward amount 50 pounds is correct since the higher campaign started on the 16.10.2024 and in your case the order was placed on the 15.10.2024.'

I have replied telling them to look at the screenshot and gently suggested they amend the figure to £60 as per what was advertised and I'm not just awaiting a response.

Anyone else had issues like this?

I saw another thread where someone was saying they struggled to get paid at all and just jot passed back and fourth between Virgin and Aklamio?

    We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the refer a friend reward amount being quoted. 

    We unfortunately can't assist with any refer a friend issues directly.

    You'd need to please contact our referral partner Aklamio via email here virgin-media@aklamio.com.

    We appreciate you've done this, and they've advised the different amount was due to you registering for the refer a friend before the awards changed to £60.

    We're sorry, we appreciate this may be frustrating.

      This is exactly what the other thread said you do.

       

      Just pass the customer back and fourth between both companies in the hope they just get bored and leave it.

       

      Yet again another shambolic level of customer service on behalf of Virgin 🙂

        We're sorry you feel that way, we can assure you that isn't the case.

        The refer a friend rewards are handled by a third party. This is our referral partner Aklamio. We can't apply any rewards on our side.

        This is why we always recommend customers contact them directly. 

        Have Aklamio advised they can’t assist and that you need to speak with us? 

        If so, could you show us what they have advised please so we can look into this.
