At my wits end - currently homeless and can't get any clear assistance
2 weeks ago my family sold the home I was also living in, I've been the Virgin account holder for years but right now I'm couch surfing with no fixed address. I tried calling and eventually got through to an agent a few weeks ago who said I could use a friend's address as a 'moving to' address and then put a freeze on my account
I've now been told I can't freeze my account as I have to be returning to the address on my account, even though I obviously won't be.
Support agents aren't understanding that I want to just pause my services so I can take them with me when I eventually move, but this constant back and forth is the last thing I need right now.
I've also been told I can cancel but I'd have to pay out the remainder of my contract, which I would understand if I was choosing not to keep the service on my own volition but why should I be punished for cancelling when I can't be provided a service due to where I've moved to (i.e. nowhere!)
Turning to the forums as I've seen a few similar topics in my searches and it seems help has been provided so I'm hoping I can receive some assistance and compassion rather than automated merry-go-rounds and talking to online agents who don't seem to understand my situation.
