Getting Scam Mails To Our Company Employee

Hello Support,

We are getting emails from [REMOVED] using our CEO's Name. Which is full scam. Either prove why are these emails genuine or we are going to raise this as Cyber Complaint. Also, you mailing using our Company Name which is a serious offense. Kindly response us in 24 hours, our legal team is waiting for hearing back to you, based on the response. We will take further action.

Mail Content: 

Hi Piyush 
I need your help with something important. I want to surprise some of our hardworking employees with bonus vouchers cards as a token of appreciation. This needs to be kept confidential until the surprise is done to maintain the element of surprise. Can you assist me with this task discreetly? and you'll be rewarded accordingly for carrying out the task.

    It looks like pretty blatent spear phishing to me. It won't have come from VM but from a spammer. Report it to your IT team.

      VM emails are getting use as this didn't came in spam, on Gmail means DKIM records are updated. Better VM should look it with their IT team. Because these emails are being received in Gmail. Our IT Team has nothing to do with it.

    If a legal matter then consider reviewing The Legal Stuff | Virgin Media to determine the appropriate path for raising with Virgin Media, i.e. this forum is unlikely to be that path.
