Philips remote and Virgin remote control

Hello,

I have a Philips TV which I switch on with the r. control supplied. The Virgin r. control switches channels, and recording but the volume and mute are stuck on the Philips r. control.

Is there a way to change this so that the Virgin remote controls the volume and mute?

    Thank you,

    This:

You can try to fine tune the tv remote settings by goting to Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices on your 360.

Click on Change TV set up, then scroll to P and then select Philips.

Click on Enter device model number and enter 6908.

    Excellent, thanks again.

The last thing I want, when relaxing watching TV, is to use my phone ...

Have you tried new batteries, or ordering a new remote control?

It would help if you indicated which VM set top box you have, for example tivo, V6, TV360, or Stream.

Also the model number of the Philips TV  such as  55PUS7009/05  or 55OLED759/12

      Hello,

                  It is a TV 360 box and a Philips 6908 series - 32pfs6908.

      Regards.

Try pairing the 360 remote again by holding down the 'Live TV' (the one on the right hand side directly below the red power/standby button) and '0' button together for around 10/15 seconds. The Standby button should then start to flash followed by an onscreen message displaying 'Pairing successful - this remote will only work with this Virgin 360 box'.

You can also try the following:-
Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the 360 box for 10 seconds.  Then using the remote control, press and hold the 'Live TV' button and the '0' button together for 10/15 seconds. And fingers crossed hopefully a  message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful.

You might need to turn on EasyLink on your Philips TV
        Home > Settings > General settings > EasyLink > EasyLink > On

On the 360 remote go to Settings > System > One Power) then the red power button enables you turn on connected devices at the same time as the 360 box providing they are compatable and connected using an HDMI cable.

You might also be able to control the 360 with your Philips remote by going to Home > Settings > General settings > EasyLink > EasyLink remote control > On
