Long wait for installation – any chance to move it earlier?
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone here experienced something similar. I placed my Virgin Media order last Feb 20, and I was told the installation is scheduled for April 2. That’s like, more than a month of waiting. I really need the internet for work (WFH life), and the delay is starting to cause problems for me. I was hoping to get connected way earlier than this. Is there any way to request for an earlier install date? Maybe someone cancelled or there’s an earlier slot available? Would appreciate any advice or help from the mods or other users who’ve gone through this. Salamat in advance!Virgin Media not sending engineers
Virgin Media had someone come and set up the hub on the 30th Jan, however due to a blockage they couldn't connect the cable from outside to my house. This means I have no phone or Internet. After this I repeatedly been given different dates regarding when they'll set everything up but so far nothing has been done. Is there anything I do to get them to come and finish the setup? If not what should I do? They've already given me some credit towards purchasing a data dongle but what happens to this credit if they never connect me to the network? Is there any way I can have this credit paid to me? I'm also told there's a lateness penalty they have to pay. What should I do about this?206Views0likes10CommentsStart of billing period
HI All, I got my Hub 5 today, I was planning to setup it tomorrow (23rd January) and activate it. Once I activate it, will the billing period be 23rd of every month or will I get a bill on 1st of Feb ? And if so, will it be for the whole month or just for the week of use? Thanks, RajasHELP! WiFi installation won’t work
Hi, I moved flat and am having issues installing WiFi. I submitted a move request and activated my services on Saturday but I get a green blinking light on my router with no internet connection. I assume I’m using the correct cable etc (see pics). Please let me know if I’m doing anything obviously wrong. Thanks, ChrisDon’t have the right wall socket
I’m and trying to set up my quick start virgin package but the cables provided don’t match the wall socket. Can I get an adapter or do I need an engineer to come out and fit a new socket? Picture included of current setup and what the cable virgin provided. Finding it hard to talk to a real person on the phone or find info online. Hello, I am in the process of moving house and will be moving at the beginning of February. I am trying to get ahead with getting things sorted and have chosen to go with Virgin Broadband. I have asked for the installation pack to be sent to my new address the day after we move, my question is will I be charged from today or from when I set up the modem? Many thanks in advance,1.1KViews0likes1CommentNew build home with Open Fibre Network access point (OFNL) - should Virgin Media be available?
Hi there. this is my first time posting here and hopefully I’m in the right section 😬 I’m just looking for a little help as we moved into our new build property last Thursday and we have this super nice little box in our cupboard that’s an access port for OFNL Open Fibre Network. As far as I can see I am limited to using providers that use their network for which Virgin Media is listed… however when I go to buy a package apparently I’m not within their network, I tried calling and they said the same thing. I’d be dammed if I go with any of the other providers as I’m a fan of VM from living in London with a great connection for many years. if anyone is on VM through the Open Fibre Network please let me know if it’s worth waiting for them to ‘recognise me’ or if there’s no light at the end of that tunnel. thanks! 🙌Self installation delivery
Hi, So I'm due to move in to my new flat on the 9th. I set up and signed up for virgin internet on the 3rd, and when doing so it allowed me to choose the 9th for delivery, great. The following day I get an email saying it's been changed to the 16th at 8am. Well that's a week later and I'm working all week so that's no good. It's completely unacceptable that they fully lie to you about delivery/setup dates in order to get you to sign up and agree to give them your money. Then once you have it's "oh sorry we can't do that, here do this instead". Do they not realise people can't live in their new home without internet? Utterly ridiculous2.7KViews0likes2Comments
