Sky sports plus red button laggy
Everytime I'm watching rugby league on sky sports plus red button it's laggy and horrible. Every couple of seconds it's like it's buffering/skipping. It's so annoying. Wifi signal strength is showing as 82% and download speed is 600, so surely this shouldn't be happening? I've reset the box (V6) and the router and it's still the same. I have a V6 Tv box with a Hub 3. About 6 months ago the Hub 3 rebooted and since then it has a solid red power light. I have tried re-booting and checking/replacing the Ethernet cables but still the red light remained. No faults were detected by VM and my broadband worked fine so I assumed it was just the age of the box. A few months later the main V6 box started re-booting which I initially put down to an old TV that needed replacing. However, having bought a new TV it keeps happening with the message to Check Power Source. I can only clear it by turning the V6 box off and back on again but it happens again 30 mins later. The redlight on the Hub suggests overheating but the box does not feel warm. Anyone else suffering from this standby issue and is it likely to be related with the redlight on the Hub? Hi, Cam home today one of my V6 box's is stuck on 33% loading up the channels, my internet is fine and when I go to settings connect to Virgin network all comes up as fine. I've checked connections all is good and I can get trecorings ok. However their is a notice of a problem regarding Broadband and it does mention V6 "Virgin Broadband, Interactive TV & V6 On Demand services might not be working at the moment.Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused". TV box is stuck on Welcome screen, tried a reset but still stuck on Welcome screen when starting up, tried phoning 150 but of no help, had lots of messages about phishing emails about balances and how the emails are not Virgins fault but on trying to get through to an agent to report the faulty box all I got was questions which the system said they didn’t pick up a reply or just got cut off, any suggestions on how to report a faulty TV box would be much appreciated170Views0likes1CommentCan't pair new RC with new v6 box
Hi all I had a replacement V6 box fitted yesterday,works fine ,and a new remote ,but using it last night I noticed the volume control wasn't working, I unpaired the remote and followed the instructions in the settings to pair the remote with the V6 it seemed successful giving me the message it had paired successfully,but the volume button still wasn't working,I've tried another twice this morning but still no luck . Just bought a new TCL C805 TV and have spent a good while trying to get my V6 remote to control the volume on my new TV. Even tried the 0999 code and then spent 10 minutes pressing the 'channel up' key every 2 seconds in the hope the TV would turn off but alas it didn't. Hi If I pause tv on my V6 , when i resume/unpause the picture stuttering and breaking up. If i go back to Guide and select the channel again to watch live, its fine. I've read in the community that this is a V6 hard drive issue. I've tried rebooting a few times. Still the same. Hello, I have noticed a problem with the fast forward function. Sometimes when fast forwarding, the programme skips forward 10-15mins. When you rewind it goes back to the original position. So the one way to get through that part of the programme is to watch it in real time. This doesn't happen all the time. Seems to happen more often during long, sport recordings. Particularly when in 4K. I have a V6 box. I haven't upgraded to 360 (don't want to lose recordings and series links, and don't like the look of the UI). Any ideas what is going wrong? Thank you. Hi, I am getting the dreaded screen pixelation and W02 error on both my V6 and TIVO boxes. They occur at about the same time on both boxes, and affect the same channels on each. In addition the problem seems to occur at about the same time (19:30) every evening. I have tried all the recommended tries to fix the problem, but to no avail - the problems persist (although it seems that everything recovers itself later in the evening or by the morning). The fact that it affects both boxes at the same time suggests that the problem is external - before I start getting on to VM, has anyone had a similar problem, and if so, how was it resolved?Solved2KViews0likes1Comment
