V6 Box solid amber light

Hi,

My Virgin V6 box is stuck on the welcome screen loop with a solid amber light on the power button.

 I have done the suggested reboot (holding + & power button and also - & power button) neither of them worked but i did get to a screen where there was an arrow pointing down at a box, but then went back to the welcome screen loop.

You can hear a faint click just before the box starts its loop.

Please can I get a replacement box as I assume this is a hardware fault.

    Have you tried the 'three fingered salute'?

    Turn off the V6 by the switch on the back of the box;  then on the V6 box  hold down the Standby/power button and the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons at the same time.  Then keeping all three buttons pressed down you should switch the box back on using the switch on the back of the box. 

    You may see an animated down arrow (this usually appears when the box is updating). When it restarts the first time you might see an error saying it can't acquire the channels. Press OK and let it restart again.
