Voice mail
Hi, I joined Virgin media a few weeks ago. Unbeknownst to me, it came with a free voicemail installed. I was not told about this. Unfortunately, it has been intercepting the calls and stopping them from getting to my answering machine, so I do not know when I have messages. I would like this free voicemail to be turned off. I have called the helpline three times; on the first call, I was told it had been turned off. It was not. On the second call, I was told it could take up to 24 hours for it to be switched off. I tried again the next day; the free voicemail was still active and intercepting messages. I called again today and was told it would be 30 days before it was turned off. Please could someone advise me if this is correct? It seems an absurdly long time to wait while Virgin switches off an unwanted free service. I am missing calls from friends and family, because there is no outward sign when there is a message on the Virgin voicemail. Only a slight change in dial tone when a message has been left, and I do not make outgoing calls from my landline and so it is very easy to miss. Could someone please tell me if 30 days is the correct amount of time I will have to wait for it to be turned off? Is there any way to do it sooner so I don’t miss calls? Becoming increasing frustrated with this as I add TNT package package for a month in January and I've been trying to cancel it following this as only needed for the month. Every time I log into my account to manage my stream plan it won't load the page and just circles around the virgin logo. I have had stream for over 12 months with no problems adding and removing channels as we want them which is ideal for us rather than a sky package but starting to become frustrated at increasing bills and not having the freedom to add and remove channels as it is sold. I am being charged for channels i no longer want but have no way of cancelling them and every time i chat to virgin online I get nowhere just past to different teams and then nothing. I now have a bill for TNT until beginning of April which isn't right when I have been trying to cancel this since 1st week of Feb. Is anyone else having issues with managing stream page not loading so no access to remove or add packages? does anyone have any solutions of how to get this removed so virgin aren't charging me for things I don't want3.5KViews3likes22CommentsSky sports subscription (through virgin media) not working and manage stream page won't load
I cannot access sky sports through virgin stream on my tv, laptop or phone through the virgin media log in link on the sky sports page. When I try to access sky sports, the service says I do not have access to sky sports channels because it is not in my subscription, although I pay extra for this in my internet contract (this was organised on the phone). However, what is making this situation more frustrating than it already is, is that I cannot check if the sky sports subscription has been properly included in my package because my virgin media stream account information won't load when I try to access the my subscriptions page to view, add and remove subscriptions. All I see is the virgin media logo endlessly loading - other people have had this same loading issue on https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Stream-from-Virgin-Media/Manage-stream-page-wouldn-t-load-so-can-t-remove-channels/m-p/5492072#M5163 - which I commented on a week ago detailing my issue and I am yet to receive a response. These problems of not being able to access a service I pay for, not being able to access my subscription page and not receiving support yet with this is very disappointing considering the cost of adding sky sports onto my internet package.
