Contract Renewal/Cancellation/Complaint
Hi folks I just rang the renewal/cancellations dept this morning hoping for a better deal, as I'd rang 2-3wks ago and got nowhere. Well today, I rang, and the person could not even beat their own online renewal prices! Crazy as I've been a customer for over 15yrs now, I would like to stay but the person on the end of the phone could not do anything for me! All their offers were more expensive, and I felt as if Virgin could not care less about customer retention! So contract runs out on 19 Feb 2026, hence ringing today, so long story short , I said here are my 30 days notice, plus a couple extra, 33-34 days it worked out. Anyway after the call ended I get an email from VM Complaints! pictured below! Does anyone know why I got this, when I was trying to get a better deal on renewing my contract, but could not, so then I gave my 30 days notice. I never made a complaint! Anyone else have this issue? Plus I've just received the email titled - Disconnecting your Virgin Media services Any help or ideas would be welcome. MSolved291Views0likes8CommentsBroadband Renewal
Hello all, it's that time of the year where broadband contract renewal is looming ahead and I'm shopping around for deals. What is the best way to chat to someone online to discuss my options with VM before I make a decision on renewal? Last time I spoke to an incredibly helpful member of staff on this forum that made the whole process a breeze and really stress free. Thank you!51Views0likes1CommentContract Automatically Renewed Without Notification After Moving Home
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone here can help or share advice. I recently discovered that my Virgin Media contract was automatically renewed for another 18 months without my knowledge or consent. I moved home last year, and at no point was I informed that my contract would restart, I also ahvent received any new contract to my email address, also its not visible in my virgin account. There were no changes to my package, and I was never notified about a new contract starting. I havent signed or agreed anything. Every time I spoke to someone from Virgin Media, whether by chat or phone, they insisted that the contract restarted because of the move last year. BUT!!! However, I still have my original contract which clearly states the end date as June 2025, and there is nothing in it about the contract restarting upon moving. In fact, when my contract expired in June 2025, Virgin started charging me the higher out-of-contract rate, which contradicts the claim that I was in a new contract. Why i should pay an out-of-contract rate if my contract is renewed? From what I’ve seen, it looks like this has happened to lot of people here. What can be done in a case like this? Has anyone managed to resolve a similar situation? Thanks in advance!207Views0likes5CommentsNew contract I agreed to in November still hasn't been activated
I went through the my Virgin app to agree to a contract renewal for £48.10 a month but have since received no confirmation of the contract being activated and am still playing my previous price of £68. Who can I chase up about getting my new deal applied and my money refunded thanks91Views0likes2CommentsBroadband contract end-date unclear
Looking the below picture from the Virgin Media app, it is unclear to me which is my contract end-date. Is it 2nd March 2025 or 3rd January 2025? I need to know this to either renew my contract or switch provider. Please make this clear and easily accessible in the app and the website.2.4KViews0likes1CommentUnable to renew
Hello, It's actually been like this for years, but for once when I logged on it prompted me to check out my renewal deals, and I would very much like to do this, however I am unable to do this as the website just throws out an error. This is actually stopping me from seeing any deals, being able to renew or cancel my virgin broadband. Is it possible to have this fixed? Or do I need to phone? Ideally I would like to be able to manage my services on the website, but it seems to have shown this error from day one. I have tried multiple devices, clearing cache etc, but the error persists.2KViews0likes1CommentWhat kind of deal could I hope to negotiate?
Long-term customer, over 20 years since before it was Virgin Media. Currently on a Big Volt Bundle incl. M500, VIrgin Phone and Virgin TV. Was £36.00 for 18 months, which expired this month. Now I'm paying £71.00. Can't find any details on what kind of contract deals are available to current customers, rather than new customer-only deals. What have people been able to negotiate in similar situations?6.4KViews0likes3CommentsApril bill rise and June renewal offer
Hi Current bill is £50/month. April bill rise now £54.40/month. Renewal offer for June showed “My current package £58.80”. Where's the £58.80 come from? I’ve already had the price increase by £4.40 on the £50. Has that messed up what renewal offers are showing if incorrect? Couldn't I just renew at £54.40? Thanks for any help - but I was brought here by the VM help page and don’t think a board exists for my enquiry.330Views0likes0CommentsRenew “same package” for a little extra … but not!
