Currently on a Big Volt Bundle incl. M500, VIrgin Phone and Virgin TV.
Was £36.00 for 18 months, which expired this month. Now I'm paying £71.00.
Can't find any details on what kind of contract deals are available to current customers, rather than new customer-only deals.
What have people been able to negotiate in similar situations?
More relevant to find out what prices competitors to VM are offering in your area for the same/similar services.
This is because VM basically tries to carve out an individual deal with each and every customer at renewal time. The amount an individual customer ends up paying can vary wildly for exactly the same services.
An increasing number of posts on here recently suggest that VM has only provided a reasonable renewal deal once a cancellation has gone in.
If you still want an idea of VM pricing, look up the next package you want on the VM website and find the new customer price and the 'standard' price once the minimum term is up. A likely renewal price will be between the two but, depending on your negotiating skills and those of the sales agent, you might end up with something outside that range (either to your advantage or to VM's)!

The trend this year is to push customers up the price scale. I'd say as a rough guide they may settle on phone for £41.00 after haggling. It's an unknown really, all depends on agent, quota, whether you are polite on phone, how serious you sound at wanting to cancel.
As goslow says, know what other providers are charging in your area - even if say, TV is from Sky and Broadband from an ALTNET.
