Text offering O2 sim but deal invalid when clicked?
Yet another text from Virgin Media which I'm apparently not eligible for - this time offering a O2 sim for £6 a month including the double data etc benefits. It's like they don't want my money with the broken upgrade options and now this! Anyone else have similar issues with them?25Views0likes3CommentsTV Box not delivered by still paying
We ordered a package in July (TV, internet, phone and mobile) as we have just arrived back to the UK after 20 years. Internet arrived and phone connected but no TV box. I contacted them several times by phone, chat etc and on 14 Aug they said they would send within 48 hours. Came back from holiday on 24 Aug and still not delivered (no box as someone brought in mail or note from Yodel). Contacted them again and apparently not properly escalated in their system so didn't go through. It will now be allegedly delivered in 48 hours. Also no O2 sim. Seems was a bad setup, and the person who set us up did not tell O2, so VM sent me to O2 who have never heard of us. I am going round in circles. Last time I seemed to make some headway with the assistant and then the VM chat got cut off so back to square one and it took me hours last time to get to where she was trying to set up the O2. Who has the sort of time it takes to set up with VM? Also they want to use my existing mobile for updates but as I am new to the UK I have had to get a pay as you go Vodafone card to be able to have a UK number to set up the O2 sim which makes no sense. Thing is my bill is charging me for whole package when I only have half of it - and I'm having to spend hours on chats with them from my EU tel number so if I'm not home I get data roaming charges. I calculate they have cost me about EUR 20 so far. Now I just want to cancel and go to Sky but it seems I will get a GBP 240 cancellation fee plus charged for the set up and the first month even though all I have is patchy wifi and a landline I have only used to call VM?? How can a company be this poor at customer service? And is it legal they change me for services they have failed to deliver?Solved649Views0likes4CommentsMega Volt package - Son had O2 sim but has ported number to new provider
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me please? My son activated the sim which came as part of my Mega Volt package. Unfortunately, the data was not enough for him and he kept exceeding the monthly limit. Therefore, he decided to port his number across to a new provider. As a result, I received a text message as the Virgin Media account holder saying that because the number had been ported to a new provider, I would now lose my Volt benefits. I've tried contacting Virigin Media (via live chat) and O2 (via live chat and phone), but neither seem to be able to help me. Is there any way I can get a new O2 sim tied to my Mega Volt package (which I'd happily pay the £5 per month for) rather than losing my Volt benefits? I look forward to hearing from you. I am absolutely sick to death of both O2 and Virgin today, I signed a new virgin media package on the 7th March 2024 which was broadband, TV package and an O2 sim for £5 per month. The offer was over WhatsApp so I have proof of the offer. My bank details were taken by virgin but no sim was sent out, called again today, they took my bank details again, but said he will send a sim but then decided he couldn't do it. Today I have called both O2 and virgin and both are playing games with me, transferring the call to each other, I've asked Virgin if I can speak with a manager twice so then they decided to transfer me to O2 instead of a manager, this happened twice. I ask O2 to speak with a manager, they send me back to Virgin, brilliant service from both. O2 say they don't know what deal I have agreed but they can offer me the same package for £10 per month. Virgin say they can't send a sim card and I need to speak with O2, does either company have a clue? Regretting signing up with both companies currently because agents I've spoke to have been shocking. Anyone had any success with this or do I just forget about the sim?534Views0likes1CommentCan’t cancel o2 sim in Virgin media bundle
Hello, i really need some help as it seems o2 customer services and going in store are utterly useless and keep bouncing me around like a ball and don’t want to know or help. My mum got a virgin media bundle this included broadband, tv, land line and an extra o2 mobile phone sim for 18months. Mind you she never used the o2 sim card at all, only took the bundle as it was mandatory for the price. 18months has past and she rang up to notify o2 last payment for the mobile contract to stop the direct debit and cancel the line as she doesn’t need it but took it because of the bundle. She’s called every single month from Aug 23 up to recently to get this dam mobile line cancelled but it’s still not done. First time she called the customer service said they cancelled which they didn’t. We then get a letter that we now owe them money. Called in again the guy on the phone said because the account has debt it cant be cancelled so he put credit on the account to cancel it. Again the mobile line is still not cancelled. It’s now racked up £45 debt on the account which she is not going to pay as she gave you notice to cancel the line which you didn’t. She got a threatening letter about owing money and affecting credit. How hard is it to cancel an o2 mobile sim? If you can’t cancel it don’t put them in the bundle. How on earth do i help her cancel this sim? Virgin media says call o2, we go into store of o2 they then say call o2 customer services, we call o2 customer services they either said they cancelled which they didn’t several times or tell us to go back to store. I really need help it seems noone knows anything about cancelling a sim.3.9KViews0likes3Comments
