Contract price different from the pre-contract documents I agreed to
Hi, I'm moving house on the 13th May and pre-ordered a router to be delivered on the 13th to my new address. The package I ordered was the M350 fibre broadband with no extras. The price I was sent on the pre-contract documents is £28.99 for the first 12 months. But I have just been emailed the full contract and the price states that it will be £66 a month which was not what I have agreed to. I have never had to pay for broadband before so this is my first time setting up an account with any ISP. Therefore I am not switching or moving internet from one house to another. Please can someone help me as I do not want to pay £66 a month when I was promised £28.99. Thank you152Views0likes11CommentsPackage Deal not met
I signed up for the m350 broadband deal £28.99, a price that is confirmed in my pre-contract summary and is still currently available on the Virgin Media website. However, I currently see my bill will be £66 a month. I reached out last Friday through the online chat and an agent said the relevant discount was not applied and to contact again in 48 hours. Today the first agent also told me there was a discount application issue and passed me on to another member of the team who proceeded to try and move me on to a different more expensive and longer contract and would not allow me to speak to another member of the team. Can anyone advise whether the below are good/bad/to be expected. I am on M350 (in Modem Mode) and over the past 6 months have noticed a decline from our usual 75Mbps D/L speeds to regularly only getting 25Mbps (I would LOVE to think we ever got close to the advertised speeds). I check using the Service Checker in case there are any known issues in our area. In the olden times (we had this installed in 2000 when it was ntl - I was working for them back then) I would just call up and request a Service Engineer to come check (and would be happy to pay) but now I can't seem to get anywhere other than in a perpetual loop of check it myself, reboot the router, check it again. If anyone can point me as to whether the below should be cause for both concern and insisting on a physical visit it would be much appreciated. I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Virgin Media continually delaying the install of my new M350 fibre broadband. A timeline: 2nd Dec: Order placed 18 Dec: Initial install date 3rd Jan: Delayed install date 19th Jan: Delayed install date And now I've been told it will get installed on 17th Feb. But it's very hard to believe. I've called customer services on several occasions and had no clarity on why the date keeps getting pushed back, only that they are waiting for a permit. What does this mean? And why was I sold this contract when there was no permit to actually install the services? And is there anyone that actually know what state this "permit" is in and whether I'll actually get a concrete install date that will not get pushed back again and again. I have been provided a 4G dongle to bridge the gap in service, but coverage is pretty poor in my area and the hardware they send is pretty average so I have to move it around the house with me. Posting partly for a rant, but also can't seem to get any information through VM's official channels. Thanks in advance!
