N8 - North London - Full broadband outage 11 days and counting
Just received yet another VM text kicking the can down the road another 3 days, to July 4th. But thrilled to hear that "an engineer is on their way"! (for the 10th time). I have zero confidence that it will be fixed at this time. I have zero confidence in Virgin Media, at this point. Their handling of this is beyond dreadful; it's non-existent. Yes I have reached out and lodged a complaint, but the "resolution" that I received in response is an automated copy-and-paste travesty that simply repeats the nonsense in the text messages. In the 30ish years that I have had Internet to my home, this is the very first time experiencing an outage that has lasted more than a day, anywhere. I am in London, and there are internet lines strung everywhere. Why has no technician been rerouting the line to our property after the first 24 hours? Utterly pathetic. A shame, as the service was reliable until 12:30 on Jun 20th, when it went dead. I suspect that I am now experiencing the true face of Virgin Media... which is utterly awful. Is there anyone else in the Crouch End area experiencing the same outage?112Views1like3CommentsHigh latency in valorant to London server
Hi, I've reached out a few times to both Riot and Virgin 150 support numbers and not had much luck. I get passed back and forth. I'm trying to resolve ping issues im getting. Currently I ping 40 to London, 30 to Frankfurt and then 40 again to Paris when trying to play VALORANT despite living in the UK. I'm trying to see what I can do or ask or who I can ask to try bring better routing so that my London server UK ping is way down. I play with a wired ethernet directly into the router. I've done a full reboot via the pin as suggested. I have also tried doing everything from Riots side they recommended, which was diagnostic tools and DNS flushing. Desperately need some help and advice as its tied to my income slightly and want to be playing on the lowest ping possible for it1KViews1like1CommentWill it ever be installed?
Hi everyone. I just moved to Limehouse in London I signed up for Virgin on November 18th. I selected my installation date as December 7th. As you can guess.. this was delayed. The new date I was given was December 27th. I was contacted on December 22nd about a new delay which is this time until February 7th 2024. Nearly 2 and a half months since my sign up date. Crazy. I've called multiple times and spoken with the pre-install team and each day I was told the works happening in my street would happen that day and they never do. I have also sent an email to the CEO / Executive team - 28 day response time so not expecting anything soon. Anyway... Does anyone actually think they have capability to add this to my street? It feels like I've been sold a product they cannot deliver and won't be able to anytime soon. If you are in Limehouse do not sign up for this. ThanksSolved
