It is not as simple as just positioning one there. Re: No Phone line You won't be compensated for lost business on a domestic contract. As for the positioning of the router and the phone connection for digital voice, VM may be able to relocate the router but if you want to keep it where it is you'll have to find a solution for phone coverage within your home. A base station at the router and wireless handsets is the normal option. Re: Set up date to move broadband and landlord has refused installation of line I disagree, the property is serviceable with the landlord's permission which is not forthcoming. VM could install without any issue subject to that permission. Re: Set up date to move broadband and landlord has refused installation of line If you cannot persuade your landlord to change her mind then you will have to end your contract with VM and pay the fees. The landlord obviously doesn't want her garden or driveway disturbed, a brown box fitted to the wall, a hole drilled in that wall and another box inside. What alternative internet connection are they proposing? Re: Installation today - TV won’t work “it looks like you aren’t home” @nattoner77 what are you actually trying to connect to your TV? You mention USB but there is no VM equipment that connects that way. Have you connected the TV(s) via WiFi or ethernet to the router, using the new WiFi password if you previously connected to a different router? Re: House Move Cut Me Off Early with proof of chat If your new property has never been cabled for VM then don't hold your breath that external work will be done on time, there seems to be many cases of delay. It is unlikely that your service will be restored at your old property. As for coming here, forum staff will not likely be able to help as the timescale is too short. You need to contact VM directly. Re: Number porting issue Did you get a message from your old provider within a few hours/days of ordering VM that there was an order for VM to take over your service? Who was your previous ISP and how was the service provided, via the old phone line (ADSL or FTTC) or full fibre with VoIP telephony? What has your old ISP said regarding the porting? Re: Moving house That is not something that VM do, costs will be down to you. Re: Wrong power cable for Hub 3 The mains cable with a figure of 8 goes into a power block which is 120x80x30 mm and the output from that has the correct plug to go into the router body. You seem to be omitting the bit in the middle! Re: Wifi If you have PAID you'll just have to wait for the system to process the payment as would anyone else who pays late.
