Unfortunately what you believe and the reality are different, retrofitting any type of cable or fibre into flats above ground level requires a lot of work and permissions. With the copper line cease not far over the horizon something will need to be done but you can't force VM to step in. Re: Disconnected my Internet early Why are you getting a new router when VM are disconnecting your services? Is this issue across two properties after a home move? Re: Installation Delay Nightmare Do you realise this topic is 2 years old? Re: Complaint about neighbours broadband cable installed right across my back garden VM don't use OPENREACH cables, so that is irrelevant. Re: Complaint about neighbours broadband cable installed right across my back garden Why have you consulted OPENREACH engineers? They will only have opinions as to the way they install, not what the VM contractors have done. If it is as the recommended height crossing your garden then the best you can hope for is an apology for someone entering your garden without your permission. Re: Hub 3 WiFi tips You would only use modem mode if you are using a standalone router/mesh system. I have split the 2.4 and 5 GHz band names so I can see which band each device tries to connect to in various locations around my home. The 5 GHz band has worse penetration through walls and floors so I ensure more distant devices only use the 2.4 GHz band. If you have close neighbours download a WiFi analyser and change the Hub channel to use the least congested. Re: Unfair and illegal default on my credit account by virgin media Moral of the story, always go back to any account you are closing and check the balance has reduced to zero and stayed there for at least two billing cycles. Maybe a mod could edit the topic and remove the word illegal as it's unlikely any laws have been broken. Re: No modem mode on 5x but told there was I hope you haven't yet had your "BT at 30 mbps" disconnected yet as if you have and it was FTTC over the phone line then it may be an issue getting it reinstated if your area has been cabled for FTTP. Best of luck! Re: WiFi keeps cutting out Is it the WiFi signal that is dropping in your home or a loss of internet with devices remaining connected to the WiFi? If it is WiFi, does it happen on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands? If you look at the system logs in the router what do they report? Re: Dispute credit report states default account for Virgin - completely incorrect Did you actually receive a confirmation in writing or by email of the date that the account was to close? Did you pay up until that date?
