ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Broadband If you really mean you have WiFi coverage issue in your large house rather than an issue with incoming speed, then moving to Virgin and one of their routers will not improve that situation. You need to find a solution to improve home coverage not change ISPs. How many WiFi access points do you have and have you considered a Mesh system for your home? Re: 4th day with no broadband A 6 or 7 day repair timeline on home broadband isn't out of the ordinary and you should get some compo as above. Re: Appaling customer service Duplicate, you already have a topic on this here https://community.virginmedia.com/discussions/Setup/appaling-customer-service/5646840 Re: WiFi dropping in and out If you say they have "cleaned the fibre" do you actually mean the internet connection is dropping completely and that is showing on the router lights? That is not WiFi. Do wired (ethernet) connections have the same issue? If it is really WiFi connections between the router and devices that are the issue then ask VM for some extenders. Re: Installation - equipment delivery timescale Physically connecting the hub and cables should take 5 minutes. The hub may need a software update which it will do once connected and that could take a few minutes. Billing I had a similar issue but it resolved itself once the actual first bill was produced, the estimated first bill did not have the discounted amount for the second month. SolvedRe: 90 year old mother has lost old landline number switching to Virgin It all depends on how the order was placed and the old service was cancelled. You'll have to elaborate to get a more comprehensive answer. Re: Mis-sold TV and broadband Incorrect generalisation. I am not in a FTTP area and had a door knocker at my home last November. Re: Mis-sold TV and broadband Not mis-sold, just incorrectly advised as to who has responsibility for cancelling services apart from broadband and landline. If you have also taken mobile services you'll also have to pay any early termination charges to Sky if you leave whilst in contract. If you want to keep your mobile number(s) make sure you understand how number porting works. Re: Need BT number ported To VM Did you tick the box requesting the landline transfer? If it was a copper line has that been disconnected?
