It depends whether you’re in an old virgin media area or new XPON which I am, if it’s the later you can only get the Flex box, which I have, not got Sky Sports though, like it better than Q as you can go backwards on the tv guide & watch whatever, it will show a play icon on the show which indicates it can be played back & take you to the respective player or just immediately play Re: Virgin Stream remote with Sky Glass TV - Volume?! Hi, I’m the same, when you go through the pairing, it’s shows the volume up & down also mute, but when you go back to the main screen nothing happens, very strange, can’t seem to get it working Re: Broadband contract ended - monthly cost up Been on Webchat for 5 hours passed from pillow to post, finally to customer relations, all I wanted was to change my broadband speed as my contract had ended, instead of reducing my monthly bill, it increased by another £20 from £76 to £110, I turned it down I then looked at the VM website, I know all deals are promotional, you get a reduced price for 18 months then it goes up, so in effect your out of the promotional deal, I wanted the 300Mbps with the Bigger Combo bundle which adds up to 38.99 a month Tried to get this deal but couldn't they said it was promotional, but how can it be as it outside the 18 months. what I was thinking is that it's out of the 18 months so just a normal contract, but if your outside of your contract you have to pay full price for Mega tv, unless when you first join VM your Mega TV deal is discounted forever but if your an existing customer & want to reduce your costs you have to pay full price Not impressed Re: Sonos Arc Yes it is, when I go through pairing part, I can see the volume bar appear on the TV screen for Mute, Vol up & down, but when I try ask 3 actions on the remote nothing happens I've even reset the Flex box, still the same, I'm at a loss what to do next Sonos Arc Trying to get the Virgin Flex remote to operate my Sonos Arc, tried through settings, it detects it but won’t put the volume up or down, it’s connected the Sky Glass 2, anyone have any ideas on how get out working? Thanks Re: Broadband contract ended - monthly cost up Thanks I'll give them a ring Broadband contract ended - monthly cost up It ended on 18/4/25 just broadband, I'm on Gig1 full fibre, Mega TV , Bigger Combo bundle & TV box Steam box, the monthly cost has gone up from £48.37 to £76.37 The Bigger Combo bundle is normally £127.37 but it says on my bill, Promotions & discounts Cr£51 Hence that's where the £76 comes from, I want to reduce this, what's the best way to approach this, I know their customer services is not the best but got to start somewhere Thanks Re: Not full TV services You mention No pause of Live tv, that's not correct, you CAN pause Live also rewind Live tv as well, as good as Sky Q, if not better as you can't look back & play programs from previous days Re: Stream box only Hi, I moved from Sky Q to the Virgin Stream box (now called Flex) in Nov'23, can't fault it, you have a watch list to put the programs you want to watch in, just click on the show it'll take you to the show, either the relevant app, bbc iplayer, itvx, ch4, ch5 et., it also lists all the series & shows you when the next episode is on. Also the tv guide is very good, you can look back & watch a show from yesterday over even further. Far more versatile than Sky Q would never go back Also if you are in a new XPON area you won't be able to get a V360 box (that has a hard disk in), the Hub 5x doesn't have a coax connection, only Internet, no landline as well I went with Virgin as my previous supplier Sky could only give me 50 Mbps where as Virgin upto 2 gigs, I'm on 1gig deal,so quite happy The only issue is if you have to contact Virgin, nightmare, the customer service team all give different answers, say anything just to get you off the phone, they promise things knowing full well they can't, it's the worst part of Virgin, you're alright if you don't have to ring them Re: Adding Extra Flex boxes Yes I do have a Flex box with Mega TV, what's the cost please of adding another box? Thanks
