What hub are you using? if it’s Hub5x thats the new XPON connection doesn’t support telephony, you have buy a 3rd party adapter, they’re quite cheap, you are given a new number but can’t port your old one to them so you don’t lose it. Re: Do Engineers keep to appointments Update, the engineer rang me to say he’ll be here in 45mins, arrived early, did the pole work then the installation, overall took about 2 hours, we've now got 400 Mbps superb, oh forgot to say Flex box also installed, Sky Sports plus Internet £31 for 2 years Do Engineers keep to appointments As above, we’ve got an appointment booked for today between 1 & 6pm, it’s an XPON area & the connection will be done from a pole several other houses have been done without issue, it said that the work outside will have to be done before the inside installation, but outside hasn’t been done yet. I spoke to VM twice & they say it’ll all be done on the day, do you think it will be? Hopefully it will🙏🙏 Re: what does installation involve? The worst thing about VM is their customer service, terrible, they all tell you different things, make broken promises, a lot don’t know what they’re talking about although I’ve not had an issues with the internet, been brillant, as is their Stream Don`t contact CS unless you have to, hopefully you wont have to because their equipment very rarely break down Re: what does installation involve? I was new to VM in Nov 23, they buried the cable from the street under my lawn then covered it over with with the grass which had been moved to make way for the cable, very neat, There was a hole drilled through the wall, cable fed through & connected to a white VM box inside, then a smaller cable from the box to the hub, all very seemless, the engineer will put the hub where ever you want it, within reason off course In answer to your question, I would definately recommend Re: Hub 5x constant flashing green light Switched the 5x off & back on again after 5 seconds, white light on the hub, Internet fine Re: Hub 5x constant flashing green light Will do 👍 Re: Hub 5x constant flashing green light Still flashing green, shall I switch it off? Thing is we've got a lot of things connected to the Internet, lights, Alexa, Sky Glass, VM Flex etc., will give it a few more hours Hub 5x constant flashing green light It's been doing this for 18 hours, the Internet is working fine, should I switch off the hub then back on again I'm a bit reluctant because last time it wouldn't reboot, had to call an engineer out to replace it
