ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsLandline, via internet, not working I recently replaced my ethernet cable to my Virginmedia TV box. Everything now works fine, apart from my landline telephone. The handsets are all connected, as is the ansaphone, but I can't call out or receive calls. Any help on this matter gratefully appreciated. SolvedRe: Virgin 360 won't stay connected to wifi, but reverts to ethernet Once again, thankyou so much. I'll certainly purchase a Cat 6 ethernet cable. (Belt and braces). Many, many thanks. Re: Virgin 360 won't stay connected to wifi, but reverts to ethernet Thankyou SO much. Now connected to wifi; signal is good; no buffering; no breaking up. Your solution may sound simple but, when you don't know an ethernet cable from a double-decker bus, the solution isn't so obvious. Thanks again - much appreciated. Virgin 360 won't stay connected to wifi, but reverts to ethernet My Virgin 360 tells me that the signal via my ethernet cable is weak. Therefore, I transferred the connection to my wifi. However, having pressed "Done", the wifi remains connected for a second or two and then reverts itself to ethernet connection. I can't persuade it to stay connected to my wifi, so my connection remains weak, iPlayer programmes are constantly buffering, and linear TV programmes keep breaking up. My TV tells me that my wifi signal is 70% but, as I say, I can't get my TV to stay connected to it. Any help on this matter gratefully received. SolvedRe: Error code ES073 Many thanks for this, Adri_G. Other customers may disagree, but for me, I'd simply like to see all areas of Virgin Media working in co-ordination and complementarity. From my point-of-view, being told something is a "Virgin Media Store issue" by a different section of Virgin Media isn't a great help. Hope this is of some use. Re: Error code ES073 Thank you for this, Dean C. Just a couple of questions for you to consider to improve your customer service: 1. Why post an error code which customers are unable to trace; why not post an explanation of the problem? 2. When the error is fixed, why not post an apology for any inconvenience caused? Hope this is helpful. Re: Error code ES073 Thankyou for this. I've rung the VM Store helpline. They tell me there's been an issue since the end of last week (I think we already know that) and their technical team are looking into it. They couldn't give me an estimate of when the issue will be fixed. When I said that I was disappointed they had still taken the money from my bank account for the film, they said that I had been with them for quite a long time and hadn't had any previous issues with them. That isn't quite true and also doesn't strike me as great customer service, especially for "loyal" customers. Re: Error code ES073 Many thanks to everyone who has replied to my initial post. Like other people in this conversation, this "technical error" appeared when I tried to purchase the latest "Mission Impossible" film and has resulted in my not being able to access any of the previously-purchased films in My Library. Needless to say, VirginMedia have taken £13.99 from my bank account for the latest "MI" film - even though I can't watch it or any of the other films I've purchased from VirginMedia. Error code ES073 I can't watch films in My Library. I only get a message saying there's a temporary glitch and to try later, and the error code ES073, which doesn't appear in any code lists.
