Error code ES073
I can't watch films in My Library. I only get a message saying there's a temporary glitch and to try later, and the error code ES073, which doesn't appear in any code lists.

I have exactly the same issue. It was the same on Friday evening.
Many thanks to everyone who has replied to my initial post. Like other people in this conversation, this "technical error" appeared when I tried to purchase the latest "Mission Impossible" film and has resulted in my not being able to access any of the previously-purchased films in My Library. Needless to say, VirginMedia have taken £13.99 from my bank account for the latest "MI" film - even though I can't watch it or any of the other films I've purchased from VirginMedia.
I have had the same issue since Thursday when I purchased the new MI film. If I try to watch anything I have bought in my library I get the “technical error - try again later - ES073”. Virgin Media need to sort this out. Error code does not register in the system either !!!!
And yes I have reset both TiVo boxes multiple times and rebooted the Virgin hub multiple times. No change.
Is this on a specific individual programme? Or multiple ones? Can you cite specific examples, assuming these aren't from the "VM Store" PPV facility.
Might be best to start your own thread for this issue, to save confusing replies on DrP1's post. If the issue turns out to be common, the posts can easily be merged back together.
Did you manage to view the film? I am having the same issue and cannot contact anyone at virgin media !
I contacted VM support and after the usual horrendous experience, I received this WhatsApp message from the support agent:
'I have now raised an IT ticket and our second layer of technical team will investigate this issue and will be resolved remotely.'
No resolution t the time of writing (19:30, 12/11) and the problem affects all three V6 boxes in the house. I can't even play film trailers, let alone anything in my Library.
Having exactly the same issue, nothing from Virgin Media, along with crap Wi-Fi and can’t get pods, hard drive failure and now paid hundreds of £’s for films that I can’t watch! If not sorted by tomorrow Sky here I come!
The error ES073 message is usually related to a VM Store purchase.
Is this just happening on your Tivo box, or have you tried a different device such as a computer?
Have you tried restarting your Tivo?.
If it is a VM Store purchase and the above doesn't help then ring us the VM Store helpline on 0800 027 0801 from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week.
Thankyou for this. I've rung the VM Store helpline. They tell me there's been an issue since the end of last week (I think we already know that) and their technical team are looking into it. They couldn't give me an estimate of when the issue will be fixed. When I said that I was disappointed they had still taken the money from my bank account for the film, they said that I had been with them for quite a long time and hadn't had any previous issues with them. That isn't quite true and also doesn't strike me as great customer service, especially for "loyal" customers.
We have had the same issue with the ES037 this weekend. We can not watch any of the 35 films we’ve purchased inc the Exorcist film which we purchased sat and we not able to then watch, £19.99.
After a whatsapp conversation which didn’t get me far other than 47mins wasted and not a 29min conversation on the phone, we’re still none the wiser. The ladies on the other end of the phone couldn’t even grasp how Virgin media store worked! Terrible service. Hopefully the technician will be of more help.
Same problem! I bought „Haunting in Venice“ from Virgin Media Store, but now cannot watch it; I always receive Error Code ES073. Does that mean Virgin has stolen my money by withholding what I purchased?
Morning all,
This issue has now been fixed by our support teams.
If anyone is still getting Error Code ES073 then please let me know.
Thanks,

I used to get that error code, but now I get error code 57 when I try to sign into Virgin Media Store. It's been a week now!
Thank you for this, Dean C. Just a couple of questions for you to consider to improve your customer service: 1. Why post an error code which customers are unable to trace; why not post an explanation of the problem? 2. When the error is fixed, why not post an apology for any inconvenience caused? Hope this is helpful.
Hi, DrP1.
Thanks for this post, we're sorry to see you're not happy with how we've handled this issue although we very much appreciate all the feedback we can get from our community members.
Dean C is one of our moderators, here to monitor the forums for issues and have them raised and fixed for us all. 🙂
We do wish to take this opportunity and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to you as well as that no further explanation of the issue has been provided.
To explain this, on our error code list you'll be able to view all error codes that are broad and known to us so some others may not appear there unfortunately.
From what we know today, this code is relating to VM store purchases or similar.
Please, do let me know if you wish me to help raising a complaint with VM in case you want to express this dissatisfaction, I'd be eager to help with that.
We'll be sure to pass your feedback across to the relevant team for quality and future improvement purposes, let us know if there's anything more you wish to get help with.
Regards,
Many thanks for this, Adri_G. Other customers may disagree, but for me, I'd simply like to see all areas of Virgin Media working in co-ordination and complementarity. From my point-of-view, being told something is a "Virgin Media Store issue" by a different section of Virgin Media isn't a great help. Hope this is of some use.
