I think Virgin Media had issues in my area ML3 yesterday which affected Wi-Fi, Broadband and the full service. All seems to be ok now and Virgin Go is working again on my PC. Please close the issue. Thank you. JS2910 Problems with accessing Virgin Go again Hi Problems with accessing Virgin Go again. It has been ok for a while but today I cannot access any programmes. What I get after a very slow boot up and after the program selected is running for a short time is : "Timeout exception.....future not completed" and the screen goes black. What does this mean? There were a few problems with broadband outages in ML3 over the last few days. JS2910 Re: Virgin Go As well as my PC Computer I have V Go installed on my IPhone and it is also a registered device but I never use it to access V Go. I only ever use my Computer PC Edge which is also registered. However at your request I fired up V Go on my IPhone and it did give me access to programmes without asking me to Register the Device again. I just don't understand why every now and again V Go keeps asking me to register my PC when it is already registered and this uses up the number of times I can access V Go which can lead to me being blocked out for a considerable period. Surely, with the huge number of complaints circulating regarding this issue Virgin Media should be able to solve the technical issues and come up with a fix. I am not holding my breath. js2910 Re: Virgin Go Hi Cookies are not set to clear when PC is turned off. Incognito is not used JS2910 Re: Virgin Go Here we go again! When I sign in to watch a V Go programme I keep getting asked every time to register my device.......my one and only accessing device is "My PC Edge Computer". I have just deleted 2 of the same entries for my PC device leaving me with 2 devices registered :- 1. My Iphone which I never use to access V Go 2. My PC Edge Computer which I always use. This now shows that I have 1/3 changes that I can make. So now if I'm asked to register my device again I will shortly be blocked off again accessing V Go. The last episode of this only happened 3 weeks ago. A recurring problem which never gets fixed. I am absolutely at the end of my tether with the amount of time I have spent on the Forum over the last few years trying to get Virgin Media to fix a long running problem which keeps coming back every few weeks. I know this effects many, many other customers. I feel so bad about it that I have made up my mind to leave Virgin Media when my current contract ends. I know that agents are trying to do their best to fix the issue but whatever is done in the short term eg resetting devices etc,, never lasts and the problem keeps coming back. One last chance to fix it. JS2910 Re: Virgin Go Hi If you check my previous post you will see that the browser/ cache has been cleared by me and I now have access without V Go asking me to re-register again. The problem seems to be resolved. I will continue to monitor. Thanks for your help. js2910 Re: Virgin Go Hi What does "should be app" mean? Am I not using an app? See previous. I access using a PC via Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 js2910 Re: Virgin Go Hi Sorry if I'm being thick but I just click on the icon in my PC which is the URL: virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/en/home Is that the App? I've just cleared the browser data and cache and tried again to access V Go and I got access to the programme without V Go asking me to register my device (my PC) again. So, at present it seems to have righted itself. I will monitor for a few days. One more thing. Is the fact that the Device Management section is only showing me as having 1/3 changes still available when I think I should have 3 out of 5 left. My only 2 devices registered should be my Computer Edge PC and my iphone which I don't use to access V Go. Thanks for your help. js2910 Re: Virgin Go Hi I have just tried to access V Go in Chrome and the same thing happened. It asked me to register my device before watching. My device is my PC which is already registered as "My Computer Edge" I currently have two devices registered: 1. My Computer Edge 2. My Iphone which I never use to access V GO The Device Management section now says I have 1/3 opportunities to register another device having deleted 2 of the previously registered "My Computer Edge" devices. If I do that I will be frozen out again same as last time a few months ago. Don't understand what you mean by "We would however recommend using our application where possible to view your TV subscription to avoid potential duplicate log ins." I currently log in with a V Go icon on my PC. If you check you will see that I had the same issue a couple of months ago, where I was frozen out after registering "My Computer Edge" device several times. Why does this continue to happen. I know I am not the only customer with this problem Virgin Media should have been able to fix it by now since it has been running for a long time. Please get your technical people to fix. Thanks. js2910 Re: Virgin Go Microsoft Edge
