Please can someone from VM confirm this and arrange for it to be fixed as soon as possible. Thank you. Poor Broadband Speed and Disconnects My broadband speed has dropped significantly and has endless disconnections. I've reset the router and it's just the same. Cabled I can barely get 200mb on a 1gig connection. I've tried to report this online but just keep getting told it's a wi-fi issue. It's not, it's a broadband issue affecting both wi-fi and cabled connections. Please can someone look into this? Re: What happens if I cancel my o2 sim? I was sent a link to terms and conditions yesterday but they didn't even mention package prices changing. I can't imagine any terms and conditions being legal if they say something along the lines if "your price will go up but we can't or won't tell you by how much" which seems to be what you are saying? Is there no way of finding this out beforehand? I'd rather know before I move so I can contact Sky to arrange the switch without the unnecessary complication of a 'mystery' price increase on your part. On the flip side, if the package went up in price by a small-ish amount I'd be tempted to keep it. Has anyone cancelled their o2 sim and if so what happened to their VM package? Hello, I'm interested in finding out what has happened to peoples VM packages once they have cancelled their o2 sim. There are several threads on what could happen or might happen but none (that I've found anyway) on what actually has happened to peoples VM packages. Were you charged more for you VM package after cancelling your sim? If so how much? Was the increase immediate? How did you respond? Did you renegotiate or leave VM? Please only reply if you have actually been through this process as there are far too many hypothetical threads on this subject already. Thanks. Re: What happens if I cancel my o2 sim? Yet in other forum posts on the subject I have been reading it has been stated that if you cancel your o2 sim your VM package stays the same price unless you recontract or make changes to the package? I think ultimately I have asked the wrong question. I think I will create another post entitled "has anyone cancelled their o2 sim and if so what happened to their VM package" Re: What happens if I cancel my o2 sim? It's not very clear is it. You seem to have backtracked somewhat on your earlier reply. So if I cancel the o2 sim my VM package price might go up, but then again it might not? Who decides this? I couldn't find any mention of this in the link you sent me. Maybe you could direct me to the relevant clause(s)? Presumably i will get an email telling me what the new price will be if you do intend to raise it? Then I will have the option of either accepting the new price, negotiating a new deal without the o2 sim or leaving for Sky by excercising my 30 days notice. Is that correct? Has anyone actually done this and what happened? It's not realistic to be expected to pay £27 a month for a sim that I can't use. Re: What happens if I cancel my o2 sim? Hi Akua_A, Thank you for your reply. The only Volt benefit I make use of is the 1 gig internet upgrade from 600 previously and to be honest for what we do with the internet in our house 600 is more than sufficient for our needs. So just to confirm, the price we pay VM will remain the same and so will our VM package other than our broadband speed (that was Volt boosted to 1 gig) will revert back to 600? Thank you. What happens if I cancel my o2 sim? Hello, I know similar questions to this have been asked before and the answer seems to be as clear as mud. However, my circumstances are a little different as I'm not in a 'cooling off' period or under contract for a set amount of time, just 30 days rolling for both VM and o2. So my question is: if I cancel my o2 sim what will happen to my VM package? I understand my Volt benefits (such as next tier broadband) may be lost but that isn't an issue for me. I'm guessing since I've only got to give 30 days notice if they do significantly mess with the package or the price I can either renegotiate a new contract with VM or move to Sky. Is that correct? Has anyone actually done this though? Most of the replies on similar threads seem to be from people making assumptions on what may or may not happen rather than from direct experience. The only reason this is an issue is because we are moving to a rural location where o2 signal coverage is very poor and often there is no coverage at all. Thanks
