Multicast over WiFi is less than ideal, and in many access points not supported at all. Re: Worthwhile to Pursue An Engineer/Technician Visit? Spirit, While VM are sorting their network issues, you should probably check & clean browser clutter on your PC. I have found similar Hub to Computer issues, especially when my browser cache has not been cleared for a while. Try "ccleaner" free version & do a manual cleanup or cookies & history. It should leave your bookmarks, passwords, etc intact. Your Samknows tests are exactly as they should be, so another PC test is to use the Speedtest Windows app instead of a browser to check performance. Pete Re: How to access Hub5 status page in modem mode? You local router probably does not know how to reach 192.168.100.1 ?? Re: How Do We Log speed issues? Depends which AV600 you look at. TP-Link website claims 600Mbps, but definitely has 100Mb ports, so something wrong there. There's no way you were getting 150Mbps before !! Re: Rebooting V6 box Chances are the hard drive inside is failing. Unfortunately VM never did & never will enable transfer of recordings. The excuse is "content security" but this is rubbish given how the programs are encrypted & secured !! Re: wireless? You could use an "hdmi wireless link" from the TV Box to the TV, but then the TV Box would still be in it's original location !! Not an issue if you're using the wireless remote, but IR line-of-sight challenge for the older DogBone IR remotes. (Note: the V6 hardware is the same as the 360, so you can pair with the newer RF remotes) Easiest solution is to use a Stream Box for the re-located TV. Re: Constant problems after moving to Hub 4 The Upstream levels are actually good, so what you need is a "forward path attenuator" to bring the downstream lower by 6-10db. Do NOT let them use a generic wideband attenuator, because that will mess up your upstream levels & cause more issues. Re: houses in nextfibre area suddenly not on the availabilty checker It's probably nothing to do with the physical network. The database management has clearly got it wrong, but until they fix that there's nothing the install & provisioning teams can do !! Re: connection refused trying to access website on virgin broadband That site works for me both via my home VM modem, and using a VM modem in Reading. Like others said, it's the bank refusing your connection. Re: VPN This statement "This way, you remain hidden on the internet and snoopers can’t track your online activities, let alone steal your information to use it against you." must be one of the biggest untruths about VPN's. Using a work VPN does provide security between your laptop & the work IT systems. Using other VPN's for generic internet access simply means your connection is secure from your laptop to the VPN providers location. The connection from there to whatever website you are using is only using standard protocols. The "snoopers" are probably the remote website anyway (FB, X, etc.)
