Re: Mailbox of 10+ years lost ... just like that! Hi. Thanks for the reply. I get: "Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable This is either because your Virgin Media Mail account is locked, or because you don’t have an active account with us anymore. If you have an existing Virgin Media Mail account with us, please follow the steps below, as your account may have been locked as a security precaution". Mailbox of 10+ years lost ... just like that! Hi I have an @ntlworld.com email address as the principal email on my account. Yesterday I started getting lots of "Non Delivery" messages into my inbox, purporting to have been sent by me. I decided to change my password. I got odd messages about "can't use an @ntlworld.com address" and (fatally!) changed it to an @gmail one. I thought I was just setting up a recovery account. Now I have to log in to virginmedia with my gmail account. There's no mailbox. And when I try to change my account name back to the @ntlworld one that's been my principal email account for almost 20 years I get: Sorry, you can’t change your sign in details to a @ntlworld.com email address, please choose a different email. I'm in a terrible mess without access to my email! Any advice? Thanks SolvedRe: How much space have I used? Yeah, that's it, thanks. It said "86%". Wasn't clear if that's used or remaining, but I deleted some programmes and it went down, so the former. Cheers Both! How much space have I used? I think I have a Tivo box! I attach a pic. How do I see how much space has been used by recordings? According to VM it's under Menu/Settings/Diagnostics. I don't have a Diagnostics option under Settings. There is one under Menu/Settings/System, but that just shows internet information. Thanks N SolvedRe: YourOpinion Survey In the same vein Vasilaki 60369 (or maybe 8, his engineering skills are way better than his writing ;-)) fixed my problem last month and he was absolutely first rate. But I never received the review request. Can I watch the news for a different region? Nonetheless .... can I watch a different region? For example I'd like to watch BBC South West news on my VM box (I'm in London). I could do this on Sky on Channel 962, but I don't see it on Virgin. Re: Virgin Media Service Not Found (C133/Service Not Found) So, predictably, the new router didn't fix the problem, but a new box did. (Regardless I have a new router, which has been quite tedious, as the Hub 3.0 won't allow me to configure it with my previous (8-character) WiFi password, so I've had to re-configure quite a few devices). Thanks to all who contributed and tried to help! Re: Virgin Media Service Not Found (C133/Service Not Found) I think it highly unlikely that a new router will fix it either, as the existing router is absolutely fine in every other respect on delivering broadband. But you never know, and at least if the engineer can't get it to work either, it will move on within the VM support process. I did on a whim, given that another contributor's IP settings were on the 192.168.1 subnet (I couldn't change to this on my router), and changed the subnet to 10.10.10.1 etc, but it made no difference. Just have to sit and wait I suppose. I wonder if I'll get a credit on my account ... 😉 Re: Virgin Media Service Not Found (C133/Service Not Found) Thanks for the interest. The settings you show are those for your PC. My point was that I have no way of influencing the DNS settings of my v6 Box though, which one contributor thought may the cause of my issues.
