Apologies - missed this response. My SPAM settings are all fine and I have created many rules to filter out junk that VM misses. I am a very long standing IT professional so know how to mange an inbox. It seems that many of the current SPAM emails that come through are considered as newsletters so don't get picked up. Currently these are generally "you have won" emails pretending to be from UK businesses, "Storage Full" emails relating to non-existent Cloud Storage services, The Postcode lottery Advent Scam and "Heating Solutions". I can't be the only person who hits the 'report SPAM' option but it feels like this is a waste of time as there is no improvement in the level of this email that comes through. Re: SPAM filter putting people at risk? I see nobody from VM is prepared to answer this. Meanwhile the SPAM continues to flow like a river of SPAM with VM using a paper bag to try and stop it. I am lucky that my phone email client is much better at filtering this stuff so it isn't that difficult, just seems that VM don't care and are happy to keep putting more vulnerable people at risk. SPAM filter putting people at risk? The volume of SPAM that appears in my VM inbox leads me to believe that either VM don't have a functioning filter or the solution they use is next to useless. Other mail services do not seem to suffer anywhere near as much but if i was part of the VM IT team I would be embarrassed by the number of messages coming through which any half decent filter should block. Having many years in IT I can look after myself but it begs the question, does VM not care that more vulnerable / less savvy customers are being put at risk by having such poor SPAM filtering? Re: Constant SPAM I have checked the settings, I have numerous filters I have set myself as the standard ones are so poor. I have worked with web filtering systems for over 20 years and if these were my systems the either somebody needs to review the master system filters or I would find a new supplier. It is not just one mailbox - it is on all of the family mailboxes associated with my account Sky Racing through TV Go Some praise for VM here. Sky have never enabled Sky Racing through there app for Sky Sports subscribers so it was a pleasant surprise to see that it is now available through TV to Go. Thanks to VM for this. Re: Constant SPAM Hi Sabrina, No, still a constant stream of SPAM, either various AV software and the latest is Healthsocks. My telephone email client does a much better job of filtering these which is why the VM filter seems in desperate need of an upgrade or replacing. Kind regards Constant SPAM Have VirginMedia turned off the SPAM filter? It hasn't been great for ages but recently the volume of very obvious SPAM getting through is ridiculous. My McAfee account seems to be expiring every two hours according to the content of the emails. I try to block them but they use multiple variations on the sender address but any half decent content filter should be able to spot these. Re: Keep getting dodgy emails from something@something.fathom-labs.io VM seem to have given up with proper SPAM management as so much comes through that any decent SPAM filter should pick up. Re: cant log in to sky on PC Seems like there is still an issue as I can't log into the SkySports app this morning with my VM login. Assume it is an authentication issue that VM need to sort
