Re: WiFi cutting out hub 3 is pretty old, what speeds are you on 150mb?? you could ask for a better hub, but doubt it would improve much, do you have anything hard wired? do a realspeed test. You can compare the hubs here: https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/existing-customer-deals/hub XGSPON, realspeed reactivated now back to half hour disconnections When I first upgraded to 2gig, I had hourly real speed tests causing a few ms disconnections extremely annoying I'd get disconnected from games, voice chat I eventually got it turned off, but since 30/06/2025 00:00 (Internet went off and on a few times) since then its been back enabled, and on half hourly tests. Mine now. do a ping test to 1.1.1.1 and some speedtests via the windows app to a few different places, razorblue in manchester best for me (am in Scarborough myself) Re: Gig1 Hourly tests Had the same issue, but on 2gig. It would literrally d/c me for a few ms everyhour odd. They eventually turned it off for my connection, they were meant to be fixing it foreveryone though? they are aware of it. Only available in xgs areas, they are upgrading all the hfc areas too, it just takes time. It just comes down to the technology used, https://bidb.uk/ will tell you the technology your able to get mine says XGS - PIA Re: XGS-PON Gig1 Symmetrical modem mode might work, but only in one of the 1gig ports, and will be completely removed if you upgrade to 2gig. :P Re: XGS-PON Gig1 Symmetrical it is 100% a month-to-month based addon, it's even in the "Addon" section, go through the correct steps, complain, they say they can't do it, then go through ceo email to talk to the executive team, and your get compensation for their actual lack of support on this from all departments, several months ago I upgraded to 2gig, and confirmed the price included the upload addon, so 100% the systems are there and in place. Just wondering why you didn't pick it during checkout? in fact, when I volted, they removed my upload addon, and I had to complain to get it added back on. so it must be an option somewhere, the amount of agro people get, and their systems must be a nightmare.
