I appreciate the reply above, but after more than 2 weeks, nobody who is employed by VM has replied. Why are you cranking up our bills? To pay for what exactly? Some rich guy to get even richer? It's certainly not to ensure we get even a basic level of customer service. Renewing contract - can't remove TNT Sports, plus price going up daily! My contract is due to expire in the middle of March, which means I lose the discounts on my account. When I logged into My Virgin Media the other day, I was offered a new discount if I sign a new contract. The first issue is, it's added TNT Sports to my package at £18 per month, which I never asked for, but can't remove. If I try and customise my renewal offer, there is a check box underneath TNT Sports that is already checked, but clicking on it does nothing and I can't uncheck it. Secondly, why is the price rising daily? When I logged in on January 29th, the monthly renewal price I was offered was £58.83. When I logged in yesterday it was just over £60. When I log in now it says £61.66. What sort of scam is this?? I don't want to pay £18 per month for TNT Sports and I think it's ludicrous that the price of my renewal offer is going up by about £1.70 per day. Re: Online Recontract - removing TNT sports Have you also noticed that the renewal price keeps going up? When I logged in on January 29th, it said I could keep my current package if I signed a new contract at £58.83 per month. When I signed in yesterday, it was just over £60. Today it's £61.66. Re: Online Recontract - removing TNT sports I'm having the exact same issue. If I try and customise my package, when I go into the renewal options, TNT Sports has a checkbox underneath it that is checked, but I'm unable to uncheck it. Nobody in my house watches sports, so I obviously don't want to pay £18 per month for it. I also had an AWFUL experience last time when I tried to renegotiate a contract and was within a hair's breadth of just quitting VM altogether. Re: Service status access - cannot sign into account Is there any way to actually get support/answers on here these days? VM's customer service is an absolute JOKE. Re: Service status access - cannot sign into account I dunno why a mod changed the thread title. The issue is not that I can't sign in. I can, cos it gives me a "Log out" option at the upper right. The issue is that even when I'm logged in, it still asks for my postcode and last name, then it still says it can't find my account when I provide them. Clearly I have an account as I am signed into it, using VM services, and paying a monthly bill! Service status access - cannot sign into account When I go to VM's service status page, it asks me to enter my postcode and the last name of the account holder, but when I do that, it says that it can't find my account and to sign in instead. However, when I sign in, it still asks me for my postcode and last name, then says it can't find my account, so I'm unable to access any service status info. I've tried it with a couple of different web browsers. [MOD EDIT: Subject title changed for clarity] Google and Bing think I'm in Dublin I'm in Stafford in The Midlands, but for some reason, Google and Bing both detect me as being in Dublin, so unless I manually set my location, it gives me location-based results for Dublin, not Stafford. My IP address changed a few weeks ago, so I think that might have been when this started happening. I'm not using a VPN. Weirdly, I have tried a couple of IP location sites and they correctly detect me as being in Stafford, as does my own forum, so, so far it's only Google and Bing that seem to think I'm in Dublin. Is there anything I can do about this? Re: Incoming emails not arriving since this morning. Now I'm unable to send/receive email via an email client. I get error 0x800CCC0E and a message that says "The connection to the server has failed". Re: Incoming emails not arriving since this morning. Hello? VM staff? Why are you replying to threads posted after this one, but not this one?? If it wasn't a pain to switch providers I would dump VM in a heartbeat. Their customer service is absolute TRASH and well deserving of the 1.6/5 score they have on TrustPilot. The customer service used to be great. You'd get through to UK-based call centres, with minimal queue times. The phone line quality was fine. The people you'd speak to were trained properly. There were also newsgroups you could post in to speak directly to the tier 2 and above supports. Now it is an utter JOKE.
