Yes Rodger I know you dont have the schedule either, but that doesnt mean its a bad idea to have one, communication is something consumers respect. Any time before 2028, is a lazy cop out. Customers want to know where they stand, and will treat organisations that are open about what they doing with more respect, and then might move their custom to them. Logically areas where the competition is of a poor standard, and VM already have dominant levels of take up will be at the bottom of the list. All previous docsis upgrades, package upgrades etc. will all have been done based on commercial needs. Re: Consistent high ping and packet loss. It si clear the VM staff on these forums wont get this fixed for you, I think you have two realistic options. Either complain to the executive team, bear in mind this doesnt mean it will get fixed, but it will be treated more seriously. Or leave, of course if you in contract, then a executive team complaint might offer a penalty free exit if they unable to fix the problem. Re: Project Mustang FTTP network upgrade Sheffield 6 In Leicester its dead, no activity here at all, the area was late for Openreach as well with half the city only having cityfibre for PON, so it wouldnt surprise me if VM give it low priority. I think it would be for VMs benefit though to release a schedule, we know dates can be missed, but thats still vastly superior to keeping everyone in the dark. Re: Virgin Media doorstop collection of old equipment, how to arrange it. Yes I am, usually companies if they want something returning they have someone pick up at the door, I cant get to a yodel collections point, and now I am bein threatened with a £110 charge like its some kind of collection racket. Please arrange for someone to pick this up at my door please. The payment will be forcefully taken from me in early June. Virgin Media doorstop collection of old equipment, how to arrange it. How do I arrange for this to be done? My termination email mentioned it might be possible but did not provide a contact number for the collections team. I am unable to get to a yodel drop off point. I feel it would be discrimination to charge me for the equipment when I have it ready to be picked up at the door. So please advise on how I can arrange the doorstep collection. Quote from the email. "As well as sending you our returns packaging, we also have a doorstep collection team out and about in some areas. They can help make your returns even easier. We're working with Contact Engine to arrange a collection from your home, so please keep an eye out for a text, email or call from them. This way you won't even have to leave your house to return our kit." Also the return packaging is like a puzzle, no idea what I am doing with it, so might just hand over the equipment in the original box it came in which I still have. Re: Contract renewal email offer Ok thanks. Re: Contract renewal email offer Clicking the link in the renewal email says " Oops! Looks like something's gone wrong. We couldn't find the page you're looking for." Re: Contract renewal email offer I am trying to avoid having to do that, I prefer to not have to ring in or use chat. Contract renewal email offer So got an automated retentions offer in email, for some odd reason VM dont want to tell me the price in the email. I click the link in the email a, and I get a "this page does not exist error" The email also says if I login to my virgin media I can see my exclusive renewal offers. So I login to my virgin media, and there is no offers to be seen, just upgrade options. What is going on, where do these renewal offers appear on my virgin media? If I click on "Upgrade your package or check out our latest deals for you." it takes me to https://www.virginmedia.com/support/help/how-to/price-rise-get-in-touch which is a generic price rises page. I briefly see this for a split second befor ethe price rises page. Re: Is p2p throttled on gig1 in anyway? IPFreely wrote: They don't throttle P2P as most folks think it, torrents, etc, however would be delighted to see heavy users of it leave their network and don't want your business so no idea how eager they'd be to fix things. Indeed, Personally I would be happy if I was running VM for these guys to leave, as I suspect someone who is bothered about getting every last % of throughput from torrents is likely heavily using it.
