I'm not so bright ATM and have suspended introducing the changes for a while although I have to go without TAPO. I will get back soon with results and think the manual changes are necessary as the Hub went off yesterday and I assume as I'm without 2.4Mhz, a reboot wouldn't help. Thanks again, I've posted this as I don't want to appear ungrateful. Re: 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names OK, I see it. But it appears in "wireless signal" not security. I assume the other settings are made in security, yes? I don't suppose rebooting the hub would correct things would they. I'm always reluctant to do that in case I lose my BB on hard wires which I use most. Re: 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names Adduxa. I left a post earlier in the thread you may miss ""Disable the Smart Optimisation on the wifi bands" Is that a tick box, as I cannot see it and the 5Ghz settings are greyed out too. Re: 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names "Disable the Smart Optimisation on the wifi bands" Is that a tick box, as I cannot see it and the 5Ghz settings are greyed out too. Re: 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names Out of curiosity and assuming it will prove to solve my problem. What would have changed to have stopped my TAPO devices seeing the 2.4Ghz band when it has been optimized with the 5Ghz on my superhub 5 for the last 2 years until yesterday. Is there a reason? Re: 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names That was quick. Thanks for the info. Do you need to change the 5GZ one too as that would require all users to reconfig their devices to the new network name. Can you not just have 123456 and 123456_2? I will try later as I have someone working from home and don't want to take any chances during office hours. I will get back when I've tried your remedy. 2.4Ghz & 5GHz Network Names Assuming I have a 2.4Ghz network on my Superhub 5. Would it appear with the same network name. Let me explain. My TAPO devices have ceased working and if I try to set them up again, it asks for a 2.4GHz network. Nothing appears showing the network I use for my phone or laptop. I assume then that it has stopped working my my superhub. However a VM network without a familiar number on the options, which I assume is a neighbours network as it doesn't accept my password. If I try to go on the the superhub settings page ie 192.168 0.1 I am withheld by my AV. Should I just ignore the warning and enter to see if a 2.4GHZ channel exists but has been disabled. If you guys can understand my problem. Can you offer any advice. Please. Re: Virgin 360 remote controls Do you have to return old RC's? Re: Windows Live Mail not receiving VM Emails I shall take that advice on board. In fact, I already have gmail accounts for both myself and wife which we use for banking (after a security problem) and for our laptops and phones (for google photo storage). I shall make the transition for VM emails at some time. The shame is WLM is such a handy client for VM emails with 4 different addresses being checked simultaneously. Whereas gmail checked web based individually. I shall see if it can be configured to checkall 4 addresses at same time or perhaps third party software. Ironically I'm fussing over this and in a years time, I've got the problem of hardware. All our equipment PC and laptops all run W10 and will cease updates. W11 won't install as our CPU's are not generation 8. Re: Windows Live Mail not receiving VM Emails Thanks all. GoSlow, I changed those settings and it's worked a dream. I haven't touched passwords and hope that doesn't become an issue later on. Enjoy you're summer all - thanks again
