O2 contract expired so changed provider & saved money!

Brillo
On our wavelength

My wife's O2 contract expired & went from £8 to £25 for 20 Gb. We were switched from the old Virgin phone plans. Mine went up from £7 to £12 then £12.75 for 10 Gb. The service in our village was & is awful. Others in our village community chat had the same problems too with O2. Apparently the local O2 transmitter was on private land & they couldn't access it. That went on for over a year & is still an issue. Our contract was for 18 months for Media & O2. I decided to jump ship too with £24 to pay for 2 months. I just had enough! We are now on a rolling monthly contract for £7 for 30gB and have roaming too with Smarty. When our Media contract comes up in October we will just have broadband & get rid of the plug in router phone which we never use. We also never use the TV package as we have & use Total Media package for £65 a year! with our Firestick. Glad to see the back of O2!

Hi @Brillo

Welcome back to the community forums

Sorry to hear that you've since left O2 for another provider due to service issues where you lived.

We always take on board the feedback we receive so we can collect the information and use it to learn more about the areas we need to improve. We will certainly pass this information along to the relevant teams.

Here to help 🙂
