Hi all.
Ive just had my broadband installed. Upgraded to the 1 gig volt bundle. After running test on connect app. It has reccomended wifi pods. (In a few rooms i may add) anyway after a long and stressfull experience trying to order one. Having to run multiple tests and answer the same questions more then once. The agent told me they had placed the order for my first pod. I did ask if i could recieve the black wifi 6 pod, (makes sense, better technology, better connection/speeds) to be told they had ordered the older white ones. One of these is needed in mu kids gaming room, so the abilty to have a wifi6 booster with wired connection from it to their consoles will be a massive benefit. I also have 2 Ring security devices, that are recieving very poor connection. Is there anyway i can get this swapped please?
Thanks

Hi Neilk84,
Thanks for posting and welcome to our Community Forums 🤗
We can try to help here on the Forums, however the Black Pods are very dependant on multiple aspects of your package so in most cases, Black Pods are not something we can send out.
However, I don't mind looking to see whether your package is eligible for them.
First though, could you run through the Connect App scans again and post the results of each room on here so we can see please?
This will help us evidence why you need the Black Pods as they're rarely sent out without proper investigation first.
Thanks,
Meg

Hi @Neilk84, thank you for your post.
In order to check this for you, we'll send you a private message on here. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.
If you're on a portable device with a smaller screen, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner and select "messages" from the additional menu options.
Regards,
Daniel

You need to understand the Pod can only go halfway between the Hub and the weak WiFi spot. They can’t just be plugged in anywhere. If you need wired connections in the games room, you would be better running a cable to a switch in that room. Cables can be run externally btw.
