Is the picture on SS Main Event HD also pixellated, or just the recording?
If the live channel is also pixelated then it appears to be a signal issue. IF fo do you have any problems with the following channels which are all on the same mux as SS Main Event HD?
Sky Wizarding World, Sky Drama HD, ITV2 HD, ITV3 HD, ITV4 HD, Viaplay Sports1, 5 Action HD and E! HD.
Have you used the /check-services/i function? You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.
If nothing is showing you could also try the automated Service Status number 0800 561 0061. This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.
Any problems with any other recordings? Do you have any issues pausing and playing back live TV as that would indicate a hard drive issue?

This of course isn't normal and please accept our apologies for this. Can you advise on the questions that newapollo has asked please as these will help to identify what is causing the issue which will aid us in getting things fixed?

I restarted the box last night after Ashes finished and it is now looking fine.
Is the picture on SS Main Event HD also pixellated, or just the recording? Just the recording from yesterday. Just recorded live netball on main event and no glitches, though just a short recording.

All of these look fine. (Don’t have Sky Cinema nor Viaplay)

No. I don’t have the issues on SD nor HD channels.

For the record, premier League hd was working fine at 0030 this morning when I recorded Arsenal v Fulham highlights.

W02 is a loss of signal error, pixellation indicates a poor signal. Check for local area faults on 0800 5610061, if nothing's reported then call into faults to report your (very likely) single user issue.
If there were any national issues with Sky Sports HD, these boards would be absolutely flooded with posts - and the F1 is perfect for me.

I signed up to HD a month ago yet every time I want to watch something it is not working. I shouldn’t have to call the fault line or do checks that just hang. F1 worked for me as well, but that is no good when I want to watch football.
For the record, premier league hd and football hd are fine now, but why wouldn’t they be there is no live football on!can I get a refund for a month of HD that didn’t work?

They were merged because you have a single fault causing issues with your Sky Sports HD reception.
The images you post may be the result of a weak signal which needs attention. That is the signal to your own house or within your house - not the whole network.
If you have ensured that all the connections within your house on the VM cable are tight - then you need a visit.

How can it be Main Event HD one day? And the Football, Premier League and Hundred another day? Whenever I settle down to watch something, HD does not work. The signal can’t be OK at 0030 and then weak less than 24 hours later. I call the faults team and they are closed. I am paying for HD and not getting it.

Digital TV platforms broadcast channels in small clusters known as multiplexes, which do not necessarily correlate with EPG positions. Often lower bitrate channels are muxed with higher ones, which means different genre channels are often affected by the same signal fault. There will very likely be other channels similarly affected as your Sky Sports ones, but you've just not spotted them yet.

If you have borderline or fluctuating signal levels, then this is absolutely possible. It's also why it's ideally better to speak to faults while you have the issue and hopefully the symptoms are evident - them being closed certainly doesn't help.
As an example, you've cited Sky Cricket/Hundred HD. Check the following other channels which are on the same TX (depending on your package) - Sky Adventure HD, Sky Comedy HD, Cartoon Network HD, Eurosport 2HD, TLC-HD, Sony TV-HD, Quest-HD
