I have just signed a new contracy and looking forward to watching my local EFL team. I haven't seen a similar problem to muine amongst problems with red button, upgrade to 360 etc. My issue is I have been watching games on my PC and my TV using ifollow and sky.. Sky + won't work on a PC, only phone or tablet. I wtached on my phone but late 70s eyesight makes that unpleasant. Before I can watch on V6 I need to upgrade software and get new handset. That isn't a problem for me but my wife is forgetful and struggles now with current V6 remote. Casting to my TV is not a good option for me because I have projector and watch on a huge screen and can't see how I can cast to projector
I have two questions.
1 will my wife lose all her recorded programs after an upgrade
2 Much more important will the old remote continue to work after the 360 upgrade. If it won't I can't upgrade

It is a migration to a completely different TV platform, not an upgrade. The two are not compatible, so the hard disk in the box has to be reformatted. Anything on the box will be lost.

Again, same answer as above. It’s like buying a new TV and expecting the TV remote from the decade old TV you had that is made by another company to work it. The V360 also has voice control via the remote, which the V6 does not, so will not operate.
The old Sky Sports red button service is still currently working on your box, although EFL games are restricted to 6 matches being shown at any one time. Sky Sports + can show more than this. We have been told the Red Button on V6 will have some kind of an upgrade in the near future, but you won’t get the full Sky Sports + service unless you migrate to V360.

Yes, if you "upgrade" (I don't think it's an upgrade, there are a lot of features missing) then all current recordings and series links will be lost. I don't think the remote will work either, if it does it will only be for basic controls, the functionality of the 360\V6 is very different so many of the buttons on the V6 remote would no longer have a use ("My Shows" etc.)

The most compelling reason for some people to migrate to the 360 is the remote's voice control, no need to fiddle around with buttons when you can say what you want (TV channel number, pause, switch to YouTube, etc).
