Sky Sports activation taking ages

Last Saturday the 9th, I added Sky Sports to my package via the website and I got an order confirmation email showing what my updated package would be and the new price. As of this morning, the Sky Sports channels still weren't activated on my V6..

Does it normally take this long to activate TV package changes? I have made changes to my package in the past and I seem to remember this happing a lot faster.

The change will be processed within 14 days of the order date. If, by any chance, it gets to Saturday (23rd December) and the Sky Sports channels still haven't been activated, please pop back to us and we can have a look into it.

Did you also subscribe to the chargeable HD supplement? If not, make sure you're checking the SD channels in EPG positions 511-520.

501-510 are HD and require the £7/month add-on. You can also sync the EPG with your account by following Home > Help & Settings > Help > TV Care > I'm missing some channels

I have checked again today and I still have no Sky Sports channels, HD or SD after paying the HD suppliment. I have also tried japitts' EPG sync suggestion but still nothing.

Can you confirm did the email state when the order would go through the system?

The email gave an estimated activation date of 7 - 10 days and I received this email on the 9th.

Thanks for coming back and updating us. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
