Hi
I looked at the other forum post about this, but the 'solution' is just the VM person saying thanks for feedback...
We have an outdated TV box, and when the technician came he gave me the booklet and said follow the instructions.
It simply does not work.
What we need is the newer TV box that will allow us to run streaming apps such as NOW tv, as at present this isnt possible

First off, what "other forum post" are you referring to? I'm asking, because you need to be careful what you're asking for here. I presume, first, that you have a TiVo - check on https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box if you're not sure.
I would further presume that the offer you're referring to, is to swap your TiVo for a TV360. I would only recommend doing this if you're in full knowledge that TV360 is a fundamentally different TV platform to TiVo, and if you do indeed have a TiVo, then a V6 uses the same hardware but runs the exact same software as you're used to.
Neither TV360 nor V6 run the NowTV platform, which is Sky's "dip-in" way of selling their broadcast channels on a streaming basis. Virgin Media allow you to add those same channels to your subscription, if that's what you're looking for.
So it would be useful to know a) Which TV box you currently have, and b) What functions it is, that you're looking for? .

I discussed it with the technician when he came to change the router.
You absolutely can log into sky TV, Disney plus and the like on the newer boxes.
This is what were after.
either way, why doesn't the texting work, as per the booklet.

You can watch Sky TV on the TiVo box and the V6 box but you would need to convert a V6 box to 360 software to watch Disney+. As asked can you confirm if it's a TiVo box or V6 box.
As this needs a change to your account you can either call Virgin or there might be an option in apps on your V6, japitts or another V6 user might be able to confirm if that is still available or where to find it if it's not in apps.
Now TV isn't available on Virgin, available apps can be found here

Indeed so, I'm not sure what you mean by "log into Sky TV". Virgin Media provide most of the Sky channels via your programme guide. Disney+ is only available on the TV360, but otherwise it's not clear what box you have or what services you're looking for.

Apologies for lack of knowing the kit name, but I do know the technician said to be able to play something such as disney+ / Now tv streaming, we would need Virgin TV360 (as per the text request)
the issue im having, is, the tech said all i would have to do, is text the number with appropriate account details, and I would then get a returned call to resolve the issue.
This is what im after really, so could use the help of a VM rep, how can this be done?

As stated Disney+ is available on the 360, Now TV isn't.
If you do a search on the forum I think you will find that text number hasn't worked for a long time, along with a few other links but that's another story.
I think the V6 box had an option in the apps section to upgrade, if you sign into your My Virgin Media account you will possibly also find an option there.
You can also call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone or wait here for 2 to 3 days for one of the forum team to respond.
If you click on this https://www.virginmedia.com/virgin-tv-edit/tips-and-tricks/your-new-virgin-tv-apps you will see what apps are available on any box.

The V6 has a menu option to enable extra products/channels to be added, but you need to be clear what it is you are looking to add!!
Disney+ is a streaming app that is available on TV360 but not V6. Now-TV is Sky's "pay-as-you-go" streaming facility to provide access to their suite of broadcast channels, VM have no need for these as they're available via the EPG.
Hence if you want Disney+ then yes, you should convert to TV360. If you want NowTV, then you're about to be disappointed.

The only app Sky allow VM to use is the Sky Sports app. You can load this onto portable devices (phones & tablets) to watch the Sky Sports channels you subscribe to on your box from anywhere in the UK with an internet connection.
