Wrong details on EPG again

Why do Virgin Media keep putting the wrong details on there EPG. My wife likes to watch Love your Weekend but is unable to watch it on live so we record it. The trouble is once again who ever does your EPG has got it wrong again.
The program this week was series 6 episode 33

But your program guide say it's series 5 episode 33 and has our recording settings for this new programs only it didn't recorded.

This is the third time we've had this problem.
Ok this isn't the end of the world but you charge for service and your not delivering it.

I don't think it's a Virgin specific fault as the same incorrect series number is showing on Sky:

If you notify errors in advance of broadcast slot, the EPG can be corrected.

It does depend whether the error is - as is potentially the case here - at source, or with VM's data.
