Instead of True Detective on Sky Showcase, channel 114, I see Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Why is this, it's infuriating ?

have a 360 box, version 5.06

Sky Showcase HD is on Ch109. Ch114 is Alibi HD

You'd posted in the TV360 section of the forum, so I presumed that's the box you had.

Do you have a Stream non-recording box?

Hi Byrnec

It looks like you are based in Ireland as VM Ireland have BBC2 HD on Ch109 and Sky Showcase HD on 114, whereas these forums are for helping UK customers and  sorry to say can't help with VM Ireland issues.VM Ireland is a separate company to VM UK.

Details of True Detective airing in Ireland are on the the following page :-

https://entertainment.ie/tv/where-to-watch/true-detective-408708/

Below is a screenshot taken from https://entertainment.ie/ showing the program listed for next Monday at 2am

(The first three series of True Detective is available on Sky Showcase (channel 109) on VM in the UK. Season 4 of True Detective is only available on Sky Atlantic in the UK and that channel isn't available on VM UK, only on Sky and Now TV.)

At time of this thread being started, Sky Showcase in the UK was showing True Detective, not Buzzcocks.

After performing a thorough search I now agree series 4 is available, although it depends how you search for the title. The original post was querying True Detective (which is listed as 3 series under box sets) and not True Detective:Night Country (which is listed as a separate series under box sets)

'True Detective' is listed as being available for series 1 to 3 (on Sky Showcase and VM Store) when I perform a search on my 360 box.

However, if I perform a search for 'True Detective:Night Country'  it does show up series 4 :- episodes 1 and 2 are currenly showing as available to watch on Sky Showcase.   Episodes 3 and 4 are listed as due to air on 29th January and 5th February respectively on the Showcase channel

When the first three seasons were added to on demand, the fourth was showing and I was able to set a series link recording.   It disappeared a few days later with the change of title.  I had to set a new one

It's a damm good show BTW

Changing the title (and therefore the SL) for each series is a trick occasionally used by broadcasters - Cobra is another example. It's frankly a nuisance, but not something VM have any say over, if the broadcaster insists.

I have this one recorded, but have a bit of a backlog of drama serials so won't get to it anytime soon.
