Hi,
I've had the "Please Change the Batteries in your Remote Control" message on my screen for a week now, and its doing my head in now
I've changed the batteries twice (not re-chargeable), restarted the virgin box, unpaired and re-paired the remote, done a factory reset on the box.
Occasionally, the remote doesn't even work either
Help!
David

Have you considered that the message is from the tv itself saying the tv remote batteries need changing?
If you have it could be a faulty remote.

Assuming it is the 360 low battery message how often do you get the message, I have found you usually get very random messages and only change the batteries when the remote stops working which can be weeks after the first low battery message. I just use either GP or Varta batteries that I buy at Toolstation or Screwfix and they last a long time.
Is your remote an early 4 battery version or the newer 2 battery version.

Hey dbstoke,
Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your remote at the moment.
As ozsat asked, are you sure this not a message from your TV rather than the Virgin Media TV box?
Kind Regards,

I am wasting money on the batteries for the remote control, and I’m getting a little peeved about it now, I have just checked the old batteries with my battery meter, and they have plenty of power left, is there anything I can do about this, or do I need a replacement remote?
