Newbie here. Can anyone advise…?

Good evening, first time member here so be gentle please 😬 

Im due to have Virgin installed later this month, but since signing up to the deal, a couple of questions have arisen. I’d be grateful if anyone could help?

The salesman explained that my TV would be streamed via the broadband (I actually said “like Sky Glass?” so I remember), but then went on to mention I’d be getting a 360 box. Reading things since though, suggests that “stream” and “360” May be different things? (Again, apologies if this sounds like a stupid question). Is this the case and if so, what box will I get if it isn’t a 360 box?

Secondly, looking at the channel guide the salesman left, I see that BBC1 Scotland HD is high up on the channel list, with BBC1 HD being on channel 101. Will BBC1 Scotland automatically become 101 on my box given my location, and if not, can I manually ensure that it is the case?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    All new customers will get the 360. BBC 101 is the main BBC1 everybody gets. You will get the main BBC news and regional news that is relevant to where you are. Going by your username, i take it you're Edinburgh lol.

    360 box downstairs and if you signed up for multi room, will be a stream box only with no hardrive. You will still be able to record and watch recordings from it as it's conected to the main 360. BBC Scotland channel is 108.

      Hiya Paulpal67, cheers for the prompt reply. 
      We are only getting a box in the living room, so you reckon that’ll be a 360 then aye? And re the BBC channel, my apologies. I don’t think I worded my question very well. I know BBC Scotland is 108, but I’m wondering what I’ll get on channel 101. Will I get the London based BBC1 HD, or will I get the Scottish BBC1 HD (which looks to currently be on channel eight hundred and odd?).
