Minibox problem

Before I contact Virgin Support I wonder if anyone can answer this

I have TV360 with 2 miniboxes.

Suddenly on one of the miniboxes the control is not working in that I am unable to go to Home, change channels etc. But the control buttons for the TV still work (eg Volume)

A reboot does not help

Diagnostics in Settings show no problem.

Even though the volume buttons still work you could try new batteries.

Have you tried paring the remote again?  You should  try pressing Live TV and 0 button for 10 seconds and it should then force pairing again.

You could also try the following:-

Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the box for 10 seconds.  Then usingthe remote control, press and hold the 'TV' button and the '0' button together for 10 seconds. And fingers crossed hopefully a  message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful.

You should be able to order a replacement remote online via the Help pages /remote-issues/remote-pairing

You can use the TV Go app as a temporary remote. Download links on <this page> plus /tv/how-to-use-virgin-tv-go-app

Some Smart TV remotes can be paired with the 360 boxes.  Some TV's recognise the box as Virgin, with others you may need to search for Ziggo, or Ziggo Mediabox Next.

I should add
- The connection is via Ethernet
- The TV is 'stuck' on one channel. I cannot make any change.

Great advice Dave, thank you.

'New' batteries did the job.

(Actually I swopped batteries with the main box and both sets work)
