Are 360 Miniboxes wireless

Hi All,

My Sky contract is up next month and thinking of making the move to Virgin. I've spoken to a sales rep who was very good, but I'd like to query one thing that they said. They told me that "Since last week" miniboxes are now wireless (only require HDMI and Power) even to watch live TV. Is anyone able to verify this as this would be deal maker for us. Looking on VM's website, all I can find is instructions on wiring it with the Coax cable.

Thanks

  • If you are moving to a 360 contract with a mini box then both boxes need a coax connection for live TV, the only exception I know about at the moment is if you are in a Virgin full fibre area then you can only have a stream box recently renamed to flex box with no recording facility, it's streaming only.

Someone else did post about being told by an engineer that the stream/flex becoming available as a second box on 360 but not seen anything to confirm this just the opposite.

    They're talking nonsense!

V6 & TV360 boxes require 3 connections.. 1: Co-ax cable provides the live TV feed. 2: Internet connection (Ethernet recommended) provides OnDemand, streaming and updates, 3: HDMI to your TV

Stream boxes, which don't record, do everything over the internet - just then also need HDMI to your TV.
