hi,
I know some people have had this error but following a restart and holding of the + button whilst turning on and/or unplugging for more than 30 minutes has not worked for me.
Background: I have 2 boxes, one that has not been used for a long time. I requested to upgrade a week or two ago, have been sent 2 remotes and have tried to upgrade today on the main box. Before that, I plugged in the little used box and made sure it was connecting ok to the Virgin media service. (internet access point had changed since last connection). It rebooted itself a couple of times, so i msuspect updating itself to latest firmware maybe since last used in Nov 2023.
I then went to the main box and started the process for upgrade but it advised that the upgrade was triggered on another box. I did not go into apps or do anything on the lesser used box.
The error was the afore metioned error MA1/2.
In the lesser used box i dont even have an option to upgrade in apps. Only the main box shows this option, as well as the get ready option. Both firmware versions appears to be the same on the boxes.
I also removed all of the recordings manually from the main box and still no luck. The other doesn't have any recordings.
anyone have any ideas?
thanks in advance,
T

Well just to let you know, I retried again today and have managed to get it updated.
i went to the lesser used box and held the + button whilst I restarted. This then did the same as the main box and downloaded something as it started. I followed the process and all worked.
I then tried my main box but got a message asking me to reboot and a slightly different message as I had tried to force the update uninstall 360 now.
I then did a disconnect from the mains and therefore a reboot of my main box and it auto updated without the + button option for that.
so it does seem that the process was started on my lesser used box although I didn’t actually start it myself.
just in case anyone else needs this.
thanks
