Loss of facilities in the Apps menu

Tuning in

I upgraded to TV360 a couple of months ago. All was fine at first, although the transition from v6 was initially difficult. However, I presume since the software update recently, I can no longer access any of the Apps in the Apps menu. So no BBC iPlayer, ITVx, Channel 4 etc. if I click on any of these in the App section, the screen just goes black and goes nowhere. Furthermore, once the screen has gone black, buttons on the remote are no longer functional, and I find the only way to get out of this state is to remove power to the box and re-boot. How can I re-establish all the all the proper services I pay for?

Hello,

It sounds like the recent software update on your TV360 box may have introduced some issues with the apps, causing them to malfunction. Here are a few steps you can try to re-establish the proper services:

1. Restart Your TV360 Box
If you haven’t already, try a simple restart of the box (using the power button) or by disconnecting it from the power source for a minute. This can sometimes help resolve minor software glitches.
2. Check for Further Software Updates
Go to the settings menu on your TV360 box, and check if there are any new software updates available. If there is, install it and see if it resolves the issue with the apps.
3. Clear the App Cache
It's possible that the app cache has become corrupted. Try clearing the cache for individual apps (if this option is available in your TV360's settings) or doing a general reset of the system.
4. Factory Reset the Box
If the above steps don't work, consider performing a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will restore the box to its original settings, and you’ll need to reconfigure it.
To perform a factory reset:
Go to the settings menu and look for an option for “System” or “Device Settings.”
Find the “Factory Reset” or “Reset to Default” option, and follow the on-screen instructions.
This should fix any software issues, but you'll lose your personalized settings.
5. Check Your Network Connection
Make sure your TV360 box is properly connected to the internet. A slow or unstable connection could affect the performance of apps like BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and Channel 4.
Try rebooting your router or using a wired connection to see if it resolves the issue.

Hi TTECWAF

Have you tried changing the remote control batteries?

Can you access the Netflix app from channel 204, or the Prime Video app from channel 205?

Can you access iPlayer using the red button on any BBC channel?
