Just ordered upgrade, but not helpful staff

I've just ordered 2 TV 360 remotes. I have 1 V6 and 1 TiVo. I wanted to know if I would receive a new box for the TiVo or will the 360 remote work on this. Staff on WhatsApp ended chat without answering 😭. I also asked if I could have a extra mini box as my son has never been able to get virgin TV in his room. Again I don't know the answer or how it works (wired or wireless)!

Any advice welcome

I suspect you will get a software update for the V6 to 360 software, and a 360 mini to replace the old Tivo.  The 360 is a complete different setup to the V6, so the V6 will be wiped with the loss of everything on it.  The 360 mini has no hard drive, so uses the other 360 as it's storage.  The mini will need a very good Wifi connection, with ethernet being the best, or you may find the mini stutters with recording playback.

To add, the connectivity of both your TV360 boxes will be the same as your existing V6. In other words - coax cable carries a live TV feed, and the internet connection (via your home-hub) carries all the online & OnDemand updates.

The major difference between the TiVo/V6 & TV360 is that currently both your boxes have separate hard drives and can be streamed between each other. Your V6 will be converted into a TV360-master and retains the hard drive, the TiVo is swapped for a TV360-mini and now relies on the master box for all recordings.

    Hi Adele,

Yes you can add another 360 mini box for your son. You will need a tech visit for this as you will need a coaxial point installing for that third connection for the live TV.  The box will also need a wifi connection for the catch up, on demand content and apps, plus box software updates and EPG updates.

It will be an additional £5 per month to add a third box.
