Maybe it was Hard Drive Failure: The green screen with the message “DVR has detected a serious problem” indicates that your hard drive has failed. You’ll need a tech visit to replace your box with a new one.

The green "DVR has detected an error" screen error message indicates hard drive failure which can't be repaired.
Report your fault, a tech visit should be arranged, and your box replaced.
