Cannot watch recorded programmes on 1008hd box

Hi, I hope this is the right place, this last week all the programmes we have recorded do not give us the option to watch? Only to cancel the series recording but when I do that it says (after a while) to check later but they are still there later. Has anyone had this issue? Thanks.

As recordings on the 360 box have the recording information held on Virgins servers this may indicate a internet connection problem. How is the box connected to the hub, ethernet cable or WiFi.

When you get this problem can you still use the apps and watch something on iPlayer for example.

It could also be a faulty box but still waiting for your picture to be cleared and posted.

Thanks Roy, it's linked by ethernet cable, any programmes recorded last week are fine but any this week don't have the watch option. 

You could try using the TVGO app to delete the episode or cancel the series link.

Are any future episodes of your series links still showing under Planned recording's.

The only time I have had a problem there was a message saying recording failed with a reason but unfortunately I can't remember what it said as it was probably 2 years ago or longer, also the software has had several updates since then so things might have changed.

Can you still pause live TV for a few minutes and then watch back as a quick recording test.

 

Thanks Roy, I have downloaded tvgo app & that says I have had a power outage on everything I've recorded since Sunday? Recorded gogglebox & I'm a celebrity & both seem to have downloaded OK, not sure what the issue was & apart from move the box to look at the sticker on the bottom I haven't done anything but hopefully it's sorted itself, thanks for your help.

I have seen a disconnect cable on the VM set-top-box cause a 'power failure' error message on recordings.
