Can I set up my two full 360 boxes to record separately and not show recordings on both boxes

I have had two full 360 boxes installed as the app would not let me install 360 on my old v6 boxes. However recordings on both boxes are shown on each box. Please note that each box has its own hard drive and neither is a mini box.Is there any way that they can work independently and not show each other’s recordings.I have also noticed that recordings on box 1 can be deleted on both boxes but recordings on box 2 can only be deleted on box 2.is there anything in settings that can make each box keep its own recordings

Hi there @den97

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have faced an issue with your new boxes and thank you again for reaching out. The boxes would be linked and show both recordings but you could try creating two separate profiles for you yourself. One profile for each box.

What you're explaining is how TV360 is designed. For a new install, TV360 has one master box and additional multiroom minis without hard drives. Even with the mitigation of additional converted V6 becoming TV360-masters, you cannot avoid the fact that TV360 is designed around one central recording pool which all boxes share.

To optimize your setup with two full 360 boxes, you can configure them to record separately and avoid overlapping recordings.....Additionally, check the settings on both devices to ensure that recordings are saved to separate directories or storage locations.

No VM TV boxes work this way. You set recordings, and they appear in your box's list. You don't specify directories or storage locations.

TV360 allows you to specify which master-box you record particular programmes on, but that's the limit.

Your recordings will always be available to view across both boxes due to the way 360 Horizon software works.

If you go to Recordings > Recorded > See all > and click on the Recorded tab you will see a drop down with the following options:-

Recorded, Recorded on this Virgin TV box, Planned, and Planned for this Virgin TV box. - highlighting "Recorded on this Virgin TV box" will just show those programs recorded on that box.

You can make the 360 record programs on predetermined boxes.

When setting up a series link go to Advanced and select which box you want the recording to be made on. It will then be recorded on that box going forward, even if the default recording box is the other one.

Setting profiles doesn't help.
